Apparently it's not? I go to every youtube video related to the show/light novel and almost all the comments are about how it's actually a wholesome story. Can't say I exactly trust youtube commentors, but I'm still hopeful.

Those who have read the light novel (or the Manga) know that this is show is nothing like what everyone is thinking, it gets wholesome and sweet, definitely not trash material. Although, I will say this, for me, major wholesome stuff and big things happened in Vol 4 and after in the ln (no idea about the Manga) and anime will adapt either 3 or 4 volumes.

I go into the season identifying shows that are likely to be awful and watch them for funsies. A good amount of the time I enjoy them, and the rest I hate watch them to completion. This is one of those shows and I'll reserve judgement after a few episodes are out. I want it to be good.

I read up to the latest LN volume last year. It's actually a pretty good romcom if you can look past the whole "my stepsis and I love each other" thing going on.

I think it's better that this is a comedy, Domestic Girlfriend trying to make a dumpster fire of coincidences a drama make it cringe, in that regard this is better.

If you hate the premise, just don't watch it.
For me it's a pretty wholesome new rom com, idk why there are some ppl berate it without even trying to know how the source materials are.

the 1st episode was already the most stupid thing i have watched in a long time the characters arent interesting and their actions and behaviour are generic and stupid i did laugh more than i should because it does thing that just screams like the author wanted to make some stupid shit yeah i will continue watching this show its easy to watch and i can talk shit about it
