Can someone explain to me why you like this show? Does it get better?

It's a "wholesome" romance to me as the series goes on, but if you don't like the non stop "senpais" and the dynamic between Nagatoro and senpai then I'd just drop it now

It’s either a hit or miss. I used to follow and read the manga too and it’s pretty wholesome. Anime is pretty generic with it’s tropes especially for a romance anime (fireworks episode, beach episode, culture festival episode. Etc.)

Personally, I wasn't into either at first but I pushed on til the finish. I ended up liking it. But only after like 7 eps in.

Honestly a very good anime and you'd have to be blind to say it doesn't improve. The relationship between the two clearly evolves even if it's still behind Nagatoro's shyness by bullying

Because you will see what MC eventually earned after the struggle of S1. At least It will be much more mild and full of development. Not so provocative as S1 I guess.
