| I hate to say this but this series is cancelled for good, and we're just lying to ourselves by keep saying it's coming in 20XX... just so we can't accept the fact that it is over . The source isn't doing great either , good is not enough for anime industry ( talking from money wise ). |

It's rare that ecchi animes like DXD is getting a second season at all, and we still got four.. Season 5 will happen, it's just a matter of time, BUT my guess is that it'll be the last season since it will end the current arc, and the next one is pretty long, it's kinda pointless to start something you don't intent to end. That's exactly why I said what I've said , this series needs a full adaptation in order to establish the conclusive ending it deserves ( his wish to become a harem king remember ? ) otherwise no matter how many seasons it gets if we don't get to that point clearly , there will always be unanswered questions and cliffhangers that pushe us to need more and more because we didn't get to that satisfied ending we're looking for . This is unfortunately happens to all good finished series such as Full Metal Panic , and here in our case DxD which has the best Harem ending out there . Shame on those studios and producers for beginning good projects just to ruin them in the middle of the road . That's probably because it only made sense to those who have read the novels. You basically have to disregard S3 as anime original, as the only way the anime could've continued (besides a re-adaptation of S3) was episode 0. TNK made it worse by butchering the source material. End of story. |

| Animes don't really get cancelled like how netflix cancel shows. But it probably isn't profitable enough now to consider renewing it. If season 5 had news, something would have been said at the 10th anniversary of the anime but nothing has. They would not miss such an important date. Also ishibumi's illness will hamper productions and sales. Since authors are expected to have volumes ready to release when new seasons come, assist in screenwriting, participate in interviews. 4 seasons is very far for ln series already and it is very hard to go beyond that. |
