| Would be great if they did a proper adaptation like they'd spend 5-6 years just to make 10-50 eps. I think that much time is necessary if they want to adapt the art properly and not use shitty cgi |

| This Version of Berserk is in fact top Anime of all time for me. Creating a better adaptation than this seems almost impossible to do. Make the animation more fluent and smooth, and it could lose its magic. A "Proper" adaptation either needs to create its own style and be disconnected from the Manga or be a miracle, both is welcome. However, since Seinen adaptations in recent memory (Viland Saga) tend to be more battle Shounen than their original Manga I guess both would not do the Manga justice even if they get the art style right. And no i dont think Claymore, while being decent, comes even close. It may stand the test of time, but not nearly with the same status Berserk has. |

| I am already enjoying this version more than 99.9% of other anime. I'm not really a manga guy , but Berserk seems to be worth it. Correct me if I'm wrong , but 1997 version is more like a prequel to what's Berserk truly about.Like a demo version of true dark Berserk. Anyway , this adaption is done really well. Nicely done pacing for drama anime , but no feeling of losing everything else other than action parts like early seasons of SnK. Characters are deep , story is great. Animation is miles better than Utena's ugly repetitive backgrounds mixed with creative Ikuhara's decisions. |
