Post-credits cliffhanger. Guess a second season was intended, don't know if it's actually still planned.
I really liked it. It did sideline a lot of the other cells more than the original series (which gave them all a fair amount of screentime), but "threats" here felt more genuinely threatening too. I'd say they're about equal, only having different priorities.

Well that's it then.
No way am I going to rip my blood cells out of their established life and give them to some weirdo who doesn't take care of his body!

Well for a spin-off it sure is better than the main show but alas it ended with a cliffhanger.....

Lmao seriously? Kudos to the dude of the OG body for becoming healthy enough to be a blood donor at least.

Beyond being educational, this was an awesome ride as a story with a way more grim tone than the original.

Also, blushing WBC is something I didn't know I needed more of.

I honestly hoped that the owner of the body died... but seeing those hard working cells especially the red blood cells made me wish that the owner of the body survived! And thank goodness he did :")

Hopefully his condition will get better and he won't go back to his old lifestyle. I kinda want the cells from the prequel/original to meet the cells from Code Black lol. It would be so much fun xD I also want to see a female version of Hataraku Saibou...

And... help. The after-credit scene....

Just when you thought things were finally getting better for our hardworking characters then they get transfused into another shitty body. At least, their previous body seemed to be getting better and is healthy enough to donate. This show just wanna make you do better taking care of yourself.

The darker and more threatening setting is a nice change of pace from the fluffy slice-of-life style of its parent story. It's just as good to me. 7/10

Boring, the first version more likeable for me, I feel asleep many time while watching this maybe I just to sleepy or this anime to boring for me, idk. so well 6 is good enough
Ah yeah and the after credits made me confuse is the previous body already dead and it was just a dream or they being transferred to another body and the previous one healthy, idk why his blood being donored while his body is in that condition

Yes! I'm confident to say that I like Code Black better than the original. It shows a lot of emotions in this anime from positive and negative ones. Unlike the original which only focused mainly on the good parts.

The ending scene was also interesting! I was almost sure there would be a happy ending, but I guess our protagonist will face another challenge. I'm glad he survived but I feel sad that he will start over again. Still, this means there's a possibility for a season two.

8/10

She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did!

What was this ending? Are you telling me this guy had a heart attack and decided to donate blood shortly after? The poor cells could barely take a breath T-T

It was alright. I feel like they kept trying to make it more and more crazy but felt extremely "rushed" no episodes with any break time just ACTION ACTION ACTION which made me not really care when anything happened. 6/10

The cardiac arrest crisis was solved thanks to the defibrillator and a treatment that allows to clear the artery, is the first time I heard about something like that, I didn't know medicine was that advanced, I really thought a situation like that was 100% assured death. The heart is beating again and that world is a better place. To be honest all of this was pretty rushed and how the body suddenly became perfect is not very realistic like after probably years of those bad habits suddenly the lungs and all of the veins are completely clean and there's any sequel, also a heart that stops once will never be the same. How everything got perfect is very unrealistic but at least they a good ending, I thought the actual end was going to be the body dying. But all can't be too perfect for the blood cell guy, from a very unhealthy body to a even unhealthier one apparently, the peace isn't his fate, poor guy. Doesn't make sense though like the guy who is very unhealthy and even had a cardiac arrest is donating blood, what a nonsense tbh.
Now because is the last episode is time for a small review: I watched the original and enjoyed it a lot, I also did enjoy this one very much, not as much as the original though, just a bit less. Was good to see more situations, organs and cells this time with a more realistic and mature focus and also with a lot more action. Like the original I give this one a 8/10 even despite that rushed and unrealistic ending.
