| Well shit, it turns out my other theory was in reality the correct one: her talent being a psychological one, to create illusions. Her twin being the illusion, that was surprising. At least for Nana's development she seems to be trying to prevent Moe from killing. That's fair even if she had to kill someone else. Either way, I still feel somewhat conflicted on her morals. |

| I have been a huge fan of the Talentless Nana anime for a while, it's been on my favorites list for a while, but it's only recently that I finally gave up waiting for a second season and started reading the manga. I had heard that certain people think this series suffers from arc fatigue once it started to try and redeem Nana and shift away from the original premise, but so far I'm still enjoying it regardless. I do still prefer the original premise, but this isn't bad either. And now, after years of me singing the praises of the Prophetic Dreams and Necromancer arcs, they have both instantly been dethroned by Twin Trick as my favorite Talentless Nana arc thus far. The newly-reformed Nana outrunning a Talented who can actually read minds (in a loose sense) is a perfect role-reversal of the earlier arcs, the tactics used by both Nana and the twins are a perfectly executed game of cat and mouse from all three participants, and that scene where Kyoya basically tells Nana that he's willing to forgive her for her past crimes took me completely off-guard in the best possible way. And that final moment at the end? Literal chills, man. I can't possibly imagine how the manga could top this arc, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it try. |
