| It feels like a lacking version of 12 Oz. mouse... Like, even with its absurdity it has the potential to be good by embracing its absurdity, but it doesn't. It feels like it's really lacking in terms of substance. The meme subs kinda make sense even though albeit pretty cringe, there was one or two moments where I genuinely laughed from the Japanese but the subs were eh, I get what the subs is going for though. I don't think it's that bad. It has the potential to be absurd and doesn't fully embrace it. At least that's what I'm getting from it. The Amazing World of Gumball is another good example of a pretty good absurd/gag cartoon, and even then, the budget for that show AFAIK is fuckton huge, plus has a huge worldwide audience. Plus, despite the art style differences between characters, it is refined in a way that they do not clash. Also, it's actually funny and fleshes out its characters, at least from the first 2-4 seasons. Well, to be fair, two laughs is two more laughs than I've ever had watching Gintama, which by the first cour that I watched is actually a decent show. This is just... lol! |
