| I know the TV is a alternative setting. But how far does this stretch in source material. Does this movie go further than the TV show and is it worth to watch the movies after the TV? |

| I watched the movies before the TV series because they came out first but you can watch them in any order you like. While they share a lot of elements with the TV series they take place in a different continuity which will become evident when you watch them. Regarding the source material, the first movie itself is the source material since it's an original anime produced for some new animator training program. |
