| I think this is the first time in awhile, perhaps ever in my history with the anime. Where I got angry/upset over an AO. I can slightly understand the animation quality. But, these case characters were terribly written in my opinion. The victim knew something was up. But, decided to ignore it and go to bed instead. Literally her last line was "No one is going to kill me". The suspects had pretty bs excuses for staring at the culprit too. Meanwhile, Ayumi's just breathing in all those cigarette toxins. |
| This is one of the few times that I actually feel sad about a character death in Conan. Killing her towards the end of the episode rather than at the beginning the middle was really impactful. |

| Well, that's disappointing...really sucks that she died :( ...I started to like her too; particularly her mysteriousness that could have made her an interesting reoccurring character, slowly revealing her secrets. Oh well... Hope the buildup was worth it in the 2nd half of next episode's conclusion, with all the unanswered questions answered. Maybe they should have more of the "victims-of-the-week" one-off characters die later in the episode, just so the viewers can build a connection to the character a bit and keep us on our toes with constantly guessing ourselves "will they or won't they survive?" the entire time, because they've had non-deaths happen before where characters survive an attempted murder after the Detective Boys or Conan prevented it, though they're few as far in between. It's too bad this time it wasn't one of those episodes, since she was a pretty cool character for an anime-original that had a lot of potential. |
