I think in the VN they told us that when they were in the hospital Mayuri wanted to ''adapt'' Kagari because she felt strangely attached to her. This could have mean because Mayuri remembered what Kurisu looked like from the Alpha world line and wanted to adapt Kagari because she resembles kurisu |

| In the VN there's no explanation either... My guess was that she had plastic surgery to look like Kurisu from the professor like he did in the vn in another world line (where Kagari has Yuki's face) but who knows. |

| Was there ever a legit answer from the Creators? I'm hoping one day... Because based on how she's on the cover, it'd be logical to think that she was meant to be pivotal to the story as another Kurisu in the S;G 0 world line for whatever original reason or idea that was of which they unfortunately I think never figured out and probably rushed it into the visual novel by keeping it in and disregarding the true intent by not properly showcasing it. It's fucked up how she looks like Kurisu, is an adopted child that Future Mr. Liskinen manipulated into his plan ...but the plot was never explained or properly built to who she is or why she looks like Kurisu. From such a popular game, it's crazy how this is seemingly still a mystery that they haven't revealed or fixed. |

| @SheevPalpatine Lol. If it was already answered in Japan, no. If not, there obviously is. Very few writers leave dumb plot-holes out like this one. Kagari being in the cover of the game is already a clear sign that she was meant to be very important somehow. |

Did you even played it, or you just assume that the anime and the game are identical (like for the original Steins;Gate). Because I have to tell you, this anime is not the exact adaptation of 0 and it is 30-40% different from the VN. VN: And no, this is not a plothole. THere is no mystery. She looks like her because of dramaturgic reasons in the VN.
