| Some members the other night started a conversation about having a simulwatch activity. Discuss it here so we know the who, what, where, when, and how of it. I already made a role for our server you can join via Mirai. It works like all the Mirai managed roles; m.role add Group Watch. At the moment all it does is identify you as someone interested in group watch activities and make you mentionable as a group. If you're interested, include at least: 1) What timezone you're in, or if your schedule is non-typical for someone in your zone, what hours (UTC) you're available. 2) What shows you want to watch. |

| I'm only available from 22:00-03:00 GMT Mon-Fri. On Sat and Sun I am free all day (14:00-04:00 GMT). I have other simulwatch commitments tho so that might interfere. Also based on Pullman's post I didn't realize this was actually gonna be a simulwatch I just thought it was gonna be like we all watch 1 ep a day and discuss or something. Anyway if it is a simulwatch I reccomend to use https://syncplay.pl/ Don't use Rabb.it like all the other plebs on this site. That site is garbo. As for what to watch I'm down for anything that I haven't seen that isn't gay. |

| No, I don't think it's meant to be strictly simultaneous, like on rabb.it or the like. It's more for the discussion part, probably. We can just do that here in the forums if live discussion proves to be difficult. Also, it'll probably be @Pullman that ends up the limiting factor in this for show selection. Yeah that was my plan at least since I've found it very difficult to reliably organize larger groups of people to all be there at the same time every day. It's more about watching at your own pace/time and always having people to discuss the eps with afterwards. Like a better, more personalized version of the episode discussion forums if you want to call it that. If there's a lot of demand for something else we can of course consider it. Personally I just hate streaming and my internet is shit so I'm not a big fan of these rabb.it & co options. As for the question of having discussion here or on discord, I'd firmly argue for discord. I did tons of simulwatches with forum threads in the past and they're okay but kinda stale in the discussion department. I suggested this on discord because it's more dynamic and I think it makes for better discussion. I've seen it work on much larger servers than ours too so it shouldn't be a problem. My timezone is UTC+1 and I'm generally available in the evening and night tho lately my sleep schedule has been different and I'M more active in the morning and afternoon. Katri seems too long for a first try, I think it's best to start with something shorter, 2-cour or less, to see how it works, how many people join, how much discussion there is, if people stick with it to the end etc... So Winter Sonata is the only one I'd +1 from your suggestions :>. In general I'm down for most stuff 2-cour or shorter, that I haven't seen and that isn't harem, Yaoi or mahou shoujo. Might also say no to some mecha shows and romances but for the largest part I only avoid those 3 genres. |

| @pullman because i already saw season one of gunslinger girl <: not really in the mood to re-watch that one, though i would have nothing to simul-watch its sequel those were just the first few anime that jumped into my sight when i quickly went over my list. (and ones i never really could continue to watch for some reason) i'd +1 kamichu! (mainly because i recently snatched it and wanted to give it a try anyways) <: looked pretty nice, from the screens and synopsis. i already saw kachou ouji, while it was enjoyable i would not really recommend it though. i think most have seen the next few recs from me, though maybe not, it's worth a try i guess <: https://myanimelist.net/anime/31706 https://myanimelist.net/anime/6164 though then again i am pretty much open for nearly anything c: (though from the current recs i would prolly want to go with kamichu, if there are no other recs) |

| I'd go with Minami-ke, Kamichu!, and Aoi Hana. I dig the Arc the Lad game, but I have a feeling the anime sucks lol. Don't have much faith in JRPG adaptations sadly. I've seen Blassreiter already, although I wouldn't mind watching it again. Surprisingly enjoyable show if you can get past the shitty CGI. |

In any case it looks like Kamichu is the most likely to get picked if we combine the data :> The more important question is when you guys want to start/when we get our channel. Is Monday too early? Also I'm gonna start Arc the Lad on my own now since it seems there is little interest in watching it :>. |

| All right, so for anyone that may have missed it on Discord: We would like to know if you are all ready for the simulwatch thingy so be sure to drop a reaction to the latest post in #announcements. (Voted this far: Pullman, Vlad, EnZ, Skittles and Bajar so we technically are only waiting for you to response @SaroArsten) If I somehow have missed someone please say so, I am bad at this. If you all have voted what is left to do is decide on the time. Correct me if I am wrong with any of the following: UTC +0 Bajar (Mon-Fri : 10PM-3AM Sat+Sun: 2PM-4AM) UTC +1 Pullman (6PM to 8AM or 8AM to 11PM) UTC +1 Vlad (4PM till 6AM) UTC +3 Saro (6PM to 3-4AM) UTC +7 Skittles (? 'flexible') UTC+10 EnZ (?) EnZ has not stated what time would be best for them so this far it seems we only would have to look at times that both Saro and Bajar could cover (e.g. 10PM UTC) though that would be 8AM for EnZ and 5 AM for Skittles, unless it is a weekend were we all should be more flexible. So here are one or two suggestions for what time we could use: +0 10PM 11PM 12PM +1 11PM 12PM 1AM +3 1AM 2AM 3AM +7 5AM 6AM 7AM +10 8AM 9AM 10AM Or just in that period of time. If you have other suggestions be sure to share them with us. Same goes with different times. |
