And this volume highlighted more twisted countries. I hope Elaina got caught in more troublesome cases where she'll be force to use her spells aside from flying with her broom. |

| Not as good as the the first volume. Is the author running out of ideas already or is the localisation at fault? Because the drop in quality is pretty steep and I have very few positive things to say about any of these stories. The first half of the book is the worst, mainly social and political issues presented with paper-thin and unimaginative plots. The first five stories were not worth reading at all. Before the Snow Melts is a story I felt worked better and had much more of an impact in the manga. The only story I really liked was the one about the cat right at the end. Everything else was meh. Compared to Volume One stories like Queen of an Empty Country or those involving Fran, this volume was a sad disappointment. |
