| His mother is just insufferable. I can see why some children end up doing something very drastic to their parents. I had difficult parents, no doubt, but to suffocate your child like that? Thank God I never had endure such nonsense. As for everything else in this episode, a subtle breeze of common sense seems to have entered the minds of both main characters. Subtle, because overwhelmingly, they still leave their dinner outside, on the street, at night. It's unreasonable, thus, not great plotting. Rating the anime a good 6 out of 10 for now. Hard watch with enjoyable moments, but never so bad that it justifies a drop. I rate the "extra episodes" at the end of each episode a friendly 0 out 10. We don't know these characters, they're flat, uninspired, boring, and they're not even related to the plot or its main situation. Production must have had a hard time. |

Really insensitive to confess even though they are in a relationship, it could possibly make things worse rather than providing "closure."

| @Kefkiroth Just my two cents. To me it seems Chinatsu just wants to prove herself by outdoing Akane, no matter if in sports or in love. There was a scene where she promised herself to become better (some episodes ago). The "better" was aimed at Akane. Meaning, better than her. Is it jealousy? I'm not sure and I would rather say no. It's more to do with Chinatsu deriving her self-worth via where she stands compared to Akane, which is an unhealthy thing to do and often will lead to issues down the line. Edit: Oh, and since Chinatsu is rather the perceptive type, unlike Akane, it means she knows what she's doing: putting Akane into a lot of emotional trouble. Do friends do that? Obviously no. In this sense, Akane's sister was definitely right for once when she said to end the friendship. |
