| i kinda enjoyed it when i just ignored me watching it in 2017 and just imagined it was the 50's. i can see it definitely being considered good for its time. it has a lot of Disney classics vibes and i actually won't be surprised if they both took inspiration from each others. it's a good watch if you want to look back at movies in that era but if you're expecting something to be compared to now, you might want to skip it. |

Honestly, even comparing it to today's standards, it's still a pretty solid movie. Like it's no masterpiece but I'd say it still holds up for something that came out in the 50's. |
| My favorite part about this film was the witch's dance halfway through it. It was a lovely dance and it reminds me why I love Japanese culture. The witch is totally an evil woman, but I appreciate her taste in dancing. The story was good, not too exciting, but nevertheless the old japanese aesthetic and beautiful art kept me from looking away. |

| I found myself a lot more impressed with Sasuke's magic abilities than expected, they made for a lot of nice visuals throughout. |
| Yasha, batman wants his bathrobe back! :D the sound effects during the battle with the witch reminded me of a certain Tom and jerry episode where the mouse turns into ghost after being kicked out into the snow. |
