Oh so it's made obvious that Kotooka truly is in love with Tsukasa, but to continuously date guys just to get over it? That's just a bit too much. Won't that make her feel more miserable? If she continues to go on dates with every (random) guy and doesn't end up liking or falling for any of them won't that make her believe it's impossible for her to love anyone else except for Tsukasa, especially now that she's pushing Tsukasa to date a guy if that works out she will be the one in pain...

She doesn't see any alternatives. All three of them are just too damn stubborn, and of course, too afraid to risk the friendship they've got. At the start of the series, they've been together for ten months (Japanese school season starts in Spring, and the story starts before Valentine's Day), which is a long of time to a middle school student, therefore serious business. They never say this outright, but even without friendships at stake, yearning for someone doesn't require any risk taking, while owning up and confessing does. It's counter-intuitive, but there may be something comfortable about loving someone secretly, as unhealthy as it is.

We've got a little love triangle on our hands. Looking forward to seeing how this develops.
