This chrismas themed episode was okay, liked the punchline with the beard at the end. But despite of that the show is still very random and we didn't see much of the real plot yet. |

I wouldn't expect anything serious, for now it's just a bunch of random jokes with some hints of actual plot. We have seen only five out of twelve chinese zodiacs (Dj Sarukkii - monkey, Dad Piggy - pig, Cart V Tiger - tiger, Sky Rabbit - rabbit and hose one, whose name i forgot - snake). Judging by the opening, they should reveal rooster next week. This black, duck-like creature doesn't match any other animal from chinese zodiac, but as we know, Heybot tends to be quite unpredictable. probably next zodiac design There's also this weird battle we've gotten glimpse of in the first episode and adult characters. It could be stand-alone, new characters or whole scene was flash-forward with future forms of Nejiru and his friends. If it's the latter, Nejiru's yellow armor suggests some kind of fusion with Heybot, his ultimate form that allows him to use super rapid fire gags or some shit like that. This series has potential, but its main target are kids, so screw-loose comedy and overly used caricatures have to prevail over plot and common sense. For better or worse, it has enough material to prolong itself. I bet 2 cours aren't enough to cover everything and we'll have to bear with it longer, unless it's a split cour. |
