Where were you in 2007?

They started this rebuild series in 2007, almost 1 decade ago (1/10th of a century) and the ending just now gets announced.

When the first movie came out, I was staying at a homeless shelter in Trenton New Jersey. One of the guys I shared a bunk with was obsessed with seeing Evangelion 1.0. Literally, watching this movie was the only thing that mattered to him in life (at least, in the two weeks that I knew him).
One night, at 4am, the guy gets out of bed and tells me he's leaving to see the movie and quietly tells me (quote) "I'm tired of this bullshit! Life can suck my dick!" and stormed out.

I'm not sure what happened to him, if he's alright, or if he ever saw Evangelion 1.0. However, when I see news about Evangelion: 3.0+1.0, I think about him and how he's probably still ""tired of this bullshit" .

It has been such a long time!, I was 15 and in high school at the time, I watched the first movie, completely loved it, showed it to my older brother the next day, and he actually liked it as well.

Since then I turned 25 years old, not only have I moved residence twice, I am about to move again once I graduate and get my second degree in a few months! And still no news about this last movie. What are there guys doing?, seriously!

Late reply. I was in highschool and the
only anime I watched were Blue Gender, Inuyasha, Kiddy Grade,
Nana and Ghost in the Shell SAC. Now I already watched 700 anime,
finished college and a master, visited the States and now I work.
Very weird indeed.

I was also in high school... 10th to 11th grade. I watched all the anime Adult swim had to offer, but I hadn't started watching online yet, so my options were limited. 2007 was the year Sarutobi died. What a great funeral. It was the year I started buying Naruto DVDs. A decade later, I haven't finished my collection, but the end is finally in sight.

The only positive thing to come out of the Rebuilds is that it made me appreciate the original series a fuckton more.
