| Watching this anime... feels like Agetarou-kun is the MC of an RPG (doing chores, gathering equipment, talking with multiple persons, getting hints, leveling up and applying all of that precious knowledge to beat the quest)... Dj Agetarou conquered a hostile home turf/Club. He is really capitalizing on all of the tips from family members, friends & strangers.  |

| Ya know when I saw first Ikenosuke in this episode I honestly thought Agetarou had gained a rival because he was trying to sabotage both gigs that he was at and apparently had a reputation for being “The Newcomer Killer” which honestly just reminded me of Winston Payne from Ace Attorney even though the latter is essentially the prosecutor you beat in every first trial of the games but I digress, he literally keeps failing in every attempt he tries with the upcoming DJ. Even when he thought he had him dead to rights in a venue in his hometown and had instructed some of his goons to not dance to Agetarou’s music they still danced anyway essentially winning them over and making Agetarou think that Ikenosuke is his friend when the former doesn’t really want him around. God I don’t know if this is the show’s doing but somehow I’m craving Tonkatsu every time I see this. Anyways speaking of Tonkatsu the old guy at the restaurant taught Agetarou about doing things slowly to achieve a perfectly cooked meal which got Agetarou to learn about low frequencies so that was pretty neat to see. And that was ultimately what helped him in the end. Pretty good episode overall. |
