| Easily the best chapter thus far. No doubt in large part due to the bigger presence of Kakashi, the best character. Loved his character, and his introduction speech was an awesome amount of non-information. The introductions for each of the character were amusing. I particularly like how Sasuke's juxtaposes in-between Sakura and Naruto, as both of those two were comedic pieces (which works since we already know what Naruto's goals are, so giving him the traditional love of food bit was fine) making Sasuke's more serious one stand out more. I particularly enjoyed the use panels here too, and how well they punctuated the line "to kill", removing the border and giving it a large space to breath with multiple reactions as opposed to the shorter close-up panels before it. There's a language to panel layouts, and glad to see Kishimoto utilizing it well here. The post-thought reaction to that line were funny too, specifically Naruto. Also should note I like "Inner Sakura", it's mostly another a comedic tool but it helps make Sakura feel like a more tangible character than just a love-struck fool, like her actually secret enjoyment of Naruto's prank. |
| I like Kakashi lot. But Sasuke... no not really. Maybe not yet. He feels like a fake-depressed, emo teen who thinks its cool saying adult things like "Kill" etc. Naruto is a little annoying but fine. Sakura is also fine. |

| brought the tense a lot, but it still seem as kishimoto's drawing getting polished, kinda want the art to improve already. kinda wants more from sakura and sasuke too, the anime flashed that out much more. |
| Naruto trying so hard to be Hokage while being so small and kind of clueless made me feel for him (T_T). He’s just a kid carrying a lot already. Sasuke talking about revenge is heavy, makes me sad and curious at the same time—I want to know what he’s thinking and what’s behind that brooding face, and Kakashi’s past too. Sakura admitting she likes Sasuke but openly hating Naruto…i guess that makes sense for her age, but he clearly has bigger things to deal with, emo ass, she should probably back off a little. Kakashi refusing to share anything while calling them hopeless is perfect, I love him quietly. The bell test was funny without being over the top, Naruto rushing him made me smile, and Team 7’s dynamic is already something I really enjoy. |
