Spooky episode but wow are these characters dismal. Still feel bad for Yozo, it's clear he's dangerously unstable. How he got this way simply hurts. Thinking he was born with serious mental faults but in reality was a victim of childhood assault and trauma, further fueled by his father. Covering these incidents up instead of actually helping his son. Yozo is sick and unstable and characters just keep using him to fill their own void. Very sad, won't end well for anyone.

Won't say I'm a huge fan of how the episode went, the directing feels a step down from last episode. That CG ghost with that post gave me a nice chuckle.

I didn't think there would be a direct continuation of the first episode. So it's good that it happened this way.
On the other hand; I didn't know Takeshi Obata was involved with this work. That's why the designs seemed familiar.
Disappointing that the detective saw "blood" and already distanced himself from the alleged murder case.
That dark creature is definitely creepy. Could it be depression incarnated in a body? Intriguing.
I think depressed women are a pattern in the MC's story. Maybe I'm wrong.

I really loved the art style they used for this, and I'm glad they decided to cover no longer human. I also have to note that they made slight changes of the book in the anime but Its overall pretty similar. I loved seeing certain scenes I distinctively remember envisioning while reading the book come to life. I will be watching more!
