Hello friends! Because the weather is growing colder and colder we have decided to get your blood pumping with a dose of surreal and black humor with a pinch of exciting action! Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is the brainchild of Gainax, developed during the teams relaxing vacation following the Gurren Lagann project, which tells the story of two angels sweetly named Panty and Stocking who were sent to Daten City - which resides on the border between Heaven and Hell - in order to fight evil spirits named Ghosts. They do that by transforming the pieces of their clothing into weapons. The show is definitely raunchy and a lot of fun which is why it has produced some really amazing collectibles that we are here to show you!
5. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Banpresto Panty Anarchy Figure
Our first spot belongs to the radiant blonde angel Panty Anarchy. Her name is based on the object she is able to weaponize. This figure of Panty was released by Banpresto and it was a part of their monthly lottery Ichiban Kuji! Panty was released in November 2011. The figure is made from ABS and PVC and depicts alluring Panty in a sexy red dress and red heels as she is stepping on her pet sidekick Chuck. This 16 cm (6.24 inches) tall figure can be yours for about 6,630 yen (~58 US dollars).
4. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Sentinel Panty Anarchy Figure
Once again, our spot belongs to the older of the Anarchy sisters, Panty Anarchy. This time we are looking at the figure made by Sentinel that was released in December 2011. This figure was sculpted by Yokoshima Shinpei and it depicts the famous transformation scene from the anime! Panty is in her angel form, wrapped around the dancing pole and in the process of, well, taking of her panties in order to weaponize them. This 1/7 scale Panty figure is made from the ABS and ATBC-PVC. The 22 cm (8.58 inches) tall figure can be yours for approximately 11,856 yen (~104 US dollars).
3. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Alter Panty Anarchy Figure
So basically you can see that we really love Panty. This time though we are showing you a Panty figure from Alter that was released in August 2013. Panty was sculpted by Masanori Tanaka and Toshiyuki Yagyu who created a figure that is a perfect representation of Panty from the famous transformation scene. If you re-watch the scene right now you would see exactly the same pose and facial expression. Panty truly looks like she just stepped out from behind the screen. The figure is made from PVC and it stands 21 cm (8.19 inches) tall. You can own this 1/8 scale figure of Panty for about 11,970 yen (~105 US dollars).
2. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Alter Kneesocks Daemon Figure
Next on our list we have one of the show's major antagonists and Stocking's rival and counterpart, Kneesocks. The younger of the Daemon sisters gets a figure from Alter that was released in September 2012. Kneesocks was sculpted by Itandy and made from PVC. This 1/8 scale figure shows Kneesocks as she is seen during the Daemon sister’s transformation scene. Like Panty, Kneesocks is a faithfull representation of the source material! Her pose and expression simply say I’m sexy and I know it. This PVC figure is 22 cm (8.58 inches) tall and it can be yours for about 15,620 yen (~137 US dollars).
1. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Alter Stocking Anarchy Figure
Our top spot belongs to everyone’s favorite gothic angel, Stocking! The younger of the Anarchy sisters gets this figure from Alter and sculptor Yagyuu Toshiyuki. The 1/8 scale, PVC figure is 20 cm (7.8 inches) tall. Alter released this figure in October 2012. Yagyuu Toshiyuki decided to show Stocking in her Angel form that can be seen during the famous transformation scene. Like with Panty, if you watch the scene you would see that the pose and the expression are exactly the same! And when you have an angel this hot why would you even change anything! Her long waving hair, her sexy pose and that seductive look make this figure worthy of any collection! The best thing is that it can be yours for just about 17,330 yen (~152 US dollars).
