Today’s feature will focus on everyone’s favorite time-traveling cat, Doraemon. This highly successful series by Fujiko F. Fujio ran for an astounding 30 years, from 1969 to 1996 and sold over 100 million copies.

If you don’t know how much Doraemon is loved and appreciated in Japan, just know that Japan’s Foreign Ministry appointed Doraemon as the nation’s first anime ambassador. Doraemon’s job is, according to Japan’s foreign minister, to help people understand Japanese anime better and deepen their interest in Japanese culture. A lofty job for a cat that traveled in time just to help young Nobita Nobi. And so, like your own personal Doraemons, we are going to help you find the best figures of this cultural icon for your collection!

Once again, another spot that belongs to Medicom Toy and their Vinyl Collectible Dolls. This figure depicts Doraemon with a more traditional cat like look which includes, well, ears. Plus, he is on all fours like a real cat. The other thing that is different with this 16.6 cm (6.49 inches) tall soft vinyl figure is that it doubles as a piggy bank. In this case the more correct term would be a kitty bank. This PERFECT-STUDIO sculpted figure can serve just as a display piece or you can use it as your personal coin bank, or why not both? So hurry up and treat yourself with this amazing figure for only about 28,715 yen (~263 US dollars).

We have shown you a lot of Medicom Toy’s VCD Doraemon figures with this list but we just have to add one more figure from this fantastic series! Trust us you won’t be disappointed with this giant among Doraemon figures that was released in January 2009. We really mean that, because this Doreamon is actually 40 cm (15.74 inches) tall which makes it almost a third of the “real” Doraemon’s height. This Doraemon is made from soft vinyl and only 1239 of these figures were made to fit with Doreamon’s 129.3 kg weight, 129.3 cm height, 129.3 bhp max power and other stats that have to do with the number 129.3. PERFECT-STUDIO sculpted this figure which can be yours for about 38,290 yen (~349 US dollars)!

And so our trip to the past comes to an end. We hope you have cleared some space in your collections for these amazing Doraemon figures which without a doubt will only make them better!
