I know they announced both of those on their Facebook page.

I was at Animazement yesterday and checked out the Discotek booth. I was surprised to see the Gaiking DVD and a BD for Getter Robo Armageddon, which I don't even recall them announcing. The guy there said Gaiking is supposed to come out next month, and August for the Getter BD. He also cut me a deal on buying both and was pleasant to deal with overall. If you have a local con and see there's a Discotek booth, definitely check it out. They had seemingly their entire anime catalog and some of their live action releases too.

Discotek just picked Cromartie High School.

I'm curious about the Karate Master so it being on Hulu is nice. I can at least check it out and see how it is.

morshuwarrior | Aug 28, 2015 11:25 AM
Btw, can we expect a BD release for both Lupin vs Conan special and movie?

@Klonoa
Seriously? I had no idea Karate Master was on Hulu. I'd still rather watch it on DVD, but at least I know now it has already been subbed. Thanks for pointing that out.

Echelon | Aug 28, 2015 8:15 AM
Glad to see more BD's. Have we seen a TV series BD release yet though?

Klonoa7H | Aug 28, 2015 7:57 AM
It was subbed by Justin Sevakis and is on Hulu... not that anyone could be arsed to rip it, so thats nice. Apparently Street Fighter was inspired by this show.

morshuwarrior | Aug 28, 2015 12:52 AM
I'm pretty hyped for Karate Master. It's an Osamu Dezaki show which is completely unsubbed. Thank god Discotek exists, I'm definitely picking that up!

I'm also considering getting Beelzebub, that was a pretty fun show.

I'm glad they are opening up to BD releases. Hopefully it goes well for them and they continue to do so. Beyond hype for Getter Robo Armageddon on BD.

Apparently Discotek is being more active with their twitter than their website. Many updates & new licenses!! https://twitter.com/discotekmedia?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

Nice! I'm hoping that this means they'll license-rescue more of the Lupin specials Funimation got. I'd love to get Harimao's Treasure and Money Wars.
Voyage to Danger itself was great and it was one of the first specials I watched.

THEAnimeHERO | Jun 26, 2015 8:48 PM
Apparently Discotek grabbed Lupin III Voyage To Danger which WILL have the Funimation dub. (Not exactly a favorite of mine but more Lupin is always good.) http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-06-26/exclusive-discotek-adds-lupin-iii-voyage-to-danger-special/.89749

If I lived in the US I'd be abusing my wallet on that sale.

Discotek Sale at Rightstuf ends at April 27, 2015

On a related note Sentai Filmworks grabbed the original Vampire Hunter D OVA. Additionally, Righstuf is having a sale for certain "shonen" items (some of the stuff is actually seinen). Among the titles are Discotek series being Lupin III From Siberia with Love & Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact.

@THEAnimeHERO Thanks for becoming an admin!
I'd really like if Ashita no Joe could be licensed by Discotek, or the Dezaki Treasure Island show, or Galactic Drifter Vifam since they are releasing Giant Gorg, which is a Sunrise show.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qwszwb3aIPg That intro is awesome. :)

@JUNKER1014
I totally agree with that. Tatakae! Ramenman & Kinnikuman are other 80's shonen that need to be released over here.
