I actually really liked the first season but this one was a let down. The major problem with b the beginning is that it's story is always needlessly complicated and that's the same here. Some scenes have some below par animation and that ending was just terrible. I liked the part where we saw into Keith's mind when he was still captured. It gave more insight into the backstory of Keith and his relationship with his sister and Gilbert. I liked the reveal that izanami was still alive. But everything else felt meh. The story has too many characters and too little time for proper character backstory and motivation, except for a select few. Yuna felt like Sakura 2.0. Koku literally had no emotion in the whole show. For me, it was a 6.5/10.

I know most people would be turned off by the ecchi elements and that the animation is not the best but the story is intriguing. The world building is really good. The characters are fun and interesting. There's actually good character development. This is a criminally underrated show with an interesting premise. As far as I'm concerned, this show deserves more than a 7.01.

I wonder why this show has such a low rating on mal.
Sure, Akari's voice is the bane of my existence and the comedy I don't really fancy, but so far, the lore and story are pretty good.
The animation and direction in the first 2 episodes were top notch. It did drop in quality by the third episode but that was kinda to be expected.
I initially watched the first 2 episodes before dropping the series, but then I saw the ratings drop even further and decided to pick it up again, just to see if it had really gone to shit. In my opinion, IT HADN'T. It's still pretty much the same with the lore, world building and story being above the comedy.
People are honestly doing this show a huge disservice.
It's not nearly as bad as it's made out to be... at least not yet.
