BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!

In their last year of middle school, the five band members of CRYCHIC went their separate ways after an unpleasant disbandment. Each wrestling with their own regrets, the girls enrolled in different high schools, hoping never to hear from one another again.

Meanwhile, Anon Chihaya transfers to Haneoka Girls' Academy in the middle of the school year. As most students play in a band as a hobby, Anon desires to fit in and spends her first days trying to recruit members for her own band, envisioning herself as the group's vocalist. She befriends Tomori Takamatsu, a shy girl who seems interested but hesitant about joining. As it turns out, Tomori used to be part of CRYCHIC, an experience that has scarred her deeply.

Through Tomori, Anon meets Taki Shiina and Soyo Nagasaki, both former members of the same band. Although Taki detests the idea of playing with Anon, Soyo is delighted to help her out. Now with Soyo by her side, Anon's dream of forming a band is within reach—if only she could find a few more members.

Feels like I never really got the chance to compliment how great MyGO!!!!! truly is and how much it motivates me in so many ways.

I finished it a while ago, but I always tell everyone to watch it because it’s just that good. I finally decided to take some time to put my thoughts together and explain why it’s so special, and why there are so many good things about it. When I see that the majority of fans of this series are Japanese teenagers, much younger compared to other Bandori fans, many of whom are in their late 20s or 30s, it becomes ... clear that MyGO!!!!! has struck a unique chord because the series makes noticeable connections to current social norms and issues around anxiety and mental health struggles. If you’re watching closely, it almost feels like the story is speaking directly to these struggles, either through its narrative or its beautifully produced music. The characters and songs aren’t just what’s being “sold”, there’s a much deeper meaning behind them when they are offering a sense of hope and connection for those who might be seeking comfort. That’s what I really love about MyGO!!!!! because beyond the music and the cast, the theme of the show itself isn’t just about catering to a target audience. Yes, it’s marketed toward a specific group, but it also gives something far beyond market value like a gift to the world that delivered through its aesthetics and story that gives back to the people who need it. I’ve always believed that if an anime can make me cry, or even just make my heart feel heavy at certain moments, then it has done an excellent job of creating a genuine emotional connection with its audience. MyGO!!!!! absolutely hits that mark, especially with moments like Anon’s scene at the exchange school where she loses confidence and faces rejection and right there, the realism of her struggle is powerful, and it resonates deeply with me. Each character has their own trauma, their own layer of realism, and that’s what makes the show so engaging. You find yourself asking which character relates to you the most, and as their stories connect, you see how each of them becomes an essential part of the bigger picture. It’s all these threads of trauma, growth, and connection that lead to the ultimate conclusion to the formation of the band itself where everyone finally comes together in harmony. I love MyGO!!!!! and It’s one of the main reasons BanG Dream! continues to be such an incredible franchise to follow. They rarely miss with their music, and this show proves they’re capable of so much more.

Amazing show layered with realism, social commentary, and emotional resonance that everyone should experience.

Mixed Feelings

The first few episodes are quite amazing, but I think it drags on near the end, becoming a much more generic idol show. It's clear that the final few episodes are written just to get people interested in the new group, that (if you already know Bandori) just looks like Roselia 2.0. And, MyGo (the band) itself felt forced in the way it came together. Most of the characters don't feel like genuine friends, and it's treated like "once people get over their argument, they'll be besties!" which doesn't really make sense. The animation isn't bad, but I think it looks quite choppy at times ... when they reduce the framerate to make it look 2D. The voice acting is pretty strong.
I think people who liked Girls Band Cry or maybe Bocchi The Rock would like this, but I didn't, so I can only partially recommend it. Good luck

Beyond my expectations, I hoped it would be a fun anime according to the anime title and the previous series, but in reality there were many dark sides and betrayals in the storyline, to be honest, I couldn't enjoy this anime and several times I wanted to stop watching it, but I tried to keep looking for the positive side and maybe A good resolution at the end of the episode, which in fact remains a mess with a loose ending where the root of the conflict from the beginning of the episode is never clearly revealed, instead showing an antagonist scene with a ... broken home background, maybe if there is a season 2, the antagonist character Saki will be the main MC with the background of a broken home and to make the story darker, scenes of domestic violence are added which usually lead to scenes of immoral acts committed by his parents which change the character of the good-hearted patient into a traitor and aloof. This is in line with the last episode where a mysterious band was created with elements of gothic appearance imitating Rosalia's band. This is just my assumption, yes that's the bad impression I can imagine from this BangDream anime series, maybe this is the dark version of BangDream. I'm disappointed with this series, there isn't a single good soundtrack, there isn't a story that creates motivation related to the band and the goals they achieve, all the characters have bad social problems that end in prolonged conflict without complete resolution, so don't expect There are cheerful and positive characters in this series but there are characters with social ills who provide negative energy in the story cycle and for those who watch this anime it is really bad. I liked the previous BangDream series but not this series. So the story line rating: 4

for the soundtrack song, score: 5 (the songs don't touch my heart.Nothing can be saved for my playlist of songs from this anime soundtrack )

the graphic animation is: 7.5 (the graphic background is good but yes I don't like 2.5D characters because they don't have details, they look like inflated balloons and don't blend in with the background graphics, big-eyed anime characters are not suitable for 2.5D animation)

I don't recommend this anime because it's not a fun anime with positive motivation girlband, 80% of the story is just full of conflict without creativity that reflects the band. There is not a single element in this anime that reflects the anime title BangDream!!
