This quote in BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!'s promotional materials perfectly encapsulate the outlook of the series' main five: lost and hurt, bearing trauma, but kept carrying on. It is a love letter to people who are lost, an antidote to people who are in despair, and a breath of fresh air in the colourful yet monochromatic idol genre.

Having been a huge fan of the BanG Dream! series for over 5 years, I thought I knew it all when they announced another new project, but boy was I wrong. It's MyGO!!!!! surpasses ... even my wildest expectations, showcasing storytelling and character development never seen before in the franchise. Portraying the disbandment of the band CRYCHIC, the series kicks off with a more gloomy and somber tone than most idol shows. The story then follows transfer student Chihaya Anon and her journey to achieve her dream of forming a new band, all the while unknowingly gathering the members back together. The first she would meet is CRYCHIC's former vocalist Takamatsu Tomori, a dandere at first glance but has a much deeper story within.

Music: 10/10. Given that it's another BanG Dream series, the OPs and EDs are of course absolute BanGers. Viewers that keep watching till episode three would additionally be rewarded with Haruhikage—an insert that has some of the most poetic lyrics out there; it's screeches from the bottom of Tomori’s heart that drove me to tears.

Animation: 7/10. It's MyGO!!!!! shouldn't be missed out just because it is 3D animated and you should definitely give it a go (pun intended). While it's true that the animation is not industry-leading, the decision to go full 3D has some surprising positives. Not only does the 3D animation allow smooth movement of the characters during their performances, but the omnipresent 3D animation also makes the rare sequences where everything is hand-drawn stand out. The decision to use the first-person angle for the whole episode of episode three is also inspiring, it adds a sense of immediacy and is something that can only be done with 3D animation.

Voice acting: 8/10. Tomori’s voice actor nailed it. Her VA conveyed the distress and perplexity that Tomori felt during the show perfectly, and her gentle and soft voice also fits into the songs magnificently. For other band members, I think the voice acting is decent for a person who is voicing their first-ever character.

Characters: 10/10. Just watch it. Then you will know that’s why she’s the goat, the GOAT!

The title of It's MyGO!!!!! serves as a double meaning. "MyGO" in plain English meaning “my turn”, and the Japanese Kanji "Maigo" meaning “lost” in Japanese. This anime flips the traditional script of innocent and sparkling idols pursuing their dreams, instead it's a profound story about how five young girls move on from their past, even when they are hurt, and when they are lost. It's MyGO!!!!! has much more than what an average generic music show has to offer, the compelling storytelling and thought-provoking theme truly make it stand out from other anime.

Direction:
I love the departure of vibe and mood from the usually bright and cheerful previous generation of Bandori, MyGO has much more serious and realistic feel to it. When the characters get angry, they get really angry, and when things about to get ugly, they also let it get much uglier and not resolve it right away. Every episode feels so short because of how intense it is, dare i say this anime ... rivals BECK from back then? Perhaps!
It's also paced much better, and slower than the previous generation, which are great! conflict escalates for more than 3 episodes, characters not getting buddy-buddy after 1-2 episodes of interactions, and sometimes even strained their relationships in another episode, the relationship dynamic is simply awesome.

Visual:
It's much more animated than the past Bandori and accurate as ever when they're playing their respective instruments, as expected! The characters' expressions are way more animated, especially Anon, Soyo, and Taki, their expressions are much delight to look at! From smug, sad, evil, angry, etc, they are really expressive!
The lighting is almost perfect, they used a lot of dramatic lighting in MyGO and it came out B-E-A-UTIFUL! But there are also some parts where it looks kinda flat, albeit not many.

Music/Sound Design::
Do you even need to ask? lol. This is Bandori we're talking about, it has AWESOME songs, and SUPERB sound design, when they play in underground livehouse, it SOUNDS like an underground livehouse, the guitar strumming, drums, some fumblings on vocals, perfect even in minute detail, even the effects board. Chef's kiss~

Characters:
AYO 10/10!
The characters feel more like human, lot more depth, and personality! They have their own selfish desires, and not always for the betterment of the band, but for their own. You just gotta watch it to understand.

Story:
This is probably the longest Bandori story i've ever watched. By that, i mean as it is.
Usually in previous Bandori, we will get a live show one after each 2-3 episodes, and that's not the case in MyGO. They're having a hard time looking for members, practicing, and finding the right song to sing. A bit of a spoiler, but you won't get to see them having their first live show until the 7th episode. They taking their sweet time developing the characters, and their relationships, and the payoff is truly awesome!

Verdict:
Go watch this, one of the most intense music drama of this generation.

*BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!* has its characters start at the lowest point imaginable – a band having broken up, friendships fractured, and feelings hurt. Togawa Saki rubbed salt on a wound so quickly and ruthlessly that any chance at repairing things reads as nonexistent. Considering how much the franchise up to this point has relied on its sense of communal fun, it seems like the most-antithetical, experimental, and sure-to-fail approach that could have been taken. To be sure, the franchise has never been afraid to dip its toe into the more-dramatic aspects of its universe; the two-part *Episode of Roselia* film series and the arcs ... from seasons two and three certainly showed that. But to start at the absolute bottom and with that melancholic overhang? It’s making a sincere ask of its audience by doing so.

And it’s not the only gamble it took, either. After 2022’s *BanG Dream! Poppin’ Dream* film, the animated franchise as we knew it was over. For three seasons, many specials and MVs, and that most-recent outing, the series had well and truly run its course. The final performance seemed to encapsulate everything that the series had been blooming at that point in time, relying upon both its fun music and its fun characters to create something that meant smiles and “kira-kira-doki-doki” were never in short supply. But what was also present was the finality of it all; the performance within the context of that film clearly indicated that if things were to continue onward, it would not be in the same way. A change was needed to inject some life into a franchise that, while not old or long overstaying its welcome, had to create something new. You can only rely on the same seven bands up to a certain point.

Even though only one band is featured in the course of *BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!*, it’s really a story of two separate(?) bands. Left in the wake of CRYCHIC’s breakup, the cast is left socially and spiritually adrift, made all the easier by them attending three different schools. The breakup haunts the characters like a ghost, dogging them and their motivations nearly every step of the way. Some of the lingering relationships, such as the one between Takamatsu Tomori and Shiina Taki, are more stable than others, while Nagasaki Soyo cannot seem to stop trying to talk to Saki, the breaker of CRYCHIC. Kaname Raana is disparagingly referred to as a “stray cat” by Taki, coming and going to RiNG whenever she feels like shredding on her guitar. And all the while, a new girl named Chihaya Anon enrolls at one of the schools and wants to form a band of her own, not realizing the emotional tempest she’s wandered into and how it will clash with the emotional baggage she has brought herself.

Everyone presented has their own reasons for wanting to form the band, yet the result is that *BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!* allows all its main characters to assume the antagonist role—either directly or indirectly—at some point or another, with their own fixations and motivations steering the ship. Bossiness, assuming too many responsibilities, and a sense that the band is boring are recurring and longstanding. These are not situations that are resolved via quick gags or in one-episode spans; temporary respites or patchwork solutions might stop the bleeding, but the lingering wound remains. Abandonment and being effectively “lost in the wilderness” stains all the CRYCHIC members, Anon, and Raana, whether that came in the form of it being imposed on them or them carrying that weight long after the fact. It creates a deliberately infused disharmony, with everyone operating on separate wavelengths that only happen to align with each other every once in a while. It’s not until the final few episodes that the familiar mold of *BanG Dream!* starts to manifest, but the shape and color therein are distinctly *MyGO!!!!!’s* own, never to be confused with any of the prior bands or seasons. As such, its sense of communal atmosphere is also wholly unique to itself.

Most surprisingly in this respect however is its humor; the jokes (both one-off and running) throughout, while not on the same wavelength as the previous installments, still are unmistakably *BanG Dream!*-esque. However, they also utilize the inherent disharmony I alluded to before as one of the central ingredients to making the drama work as well. Of note here is Raana; since she functions as the show’s wild card in terms of personality, she’s more or less off in her own world, moving wherever her whims take her. That comedic chaotic energy acts as a rather effective bridge to lead into *BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!’s* more dramatic moments. The comedy therefore acts as an orientation for the next phase of the drama, or a simple little indulgence for a moment. It’s not a crutch, but a part of its integrated whole. In that spirit, it’s the most experimental that the franchise has been in this respect, which makes even its not-really-that-funny gags feel funnier than they might have been otherwise.

I used the word “experimental” before when describing both the show’s comedy and drama. In using that word though, I don’t want to be misunderstood. This is not anime arthouse, but in the context of the rest of the franchise, it certainly feels experimental. *BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!* made the effort to avoid stagnancy, and in so doing, breathed new life into the franchise. It dared to bring the dramatic to the fore, to have its characters argue while musically sucking and getting on each other’s nerves, and SANZIGEN made its 2D and 3D animations smoother than ever. It did all of that while not betraying the franchise’s communal spirit. It asserted its right to exist by having it come together, and ranks as one of the more structurally-cohesive installments *BanG Dream!* has had yet.

They won’t be lost forever.

here we are. a very special series that can be recommended to anybody, even someone who has never heard of bandori in their life.

plot:
the plot may seem a bit boring at the first glance. we have mc who doesn't have passion for music, just wants to start a band in order not to be excluded from her class. seems unbearable. but once you get to know anon's motivation, that is no longer a problem. but even without anon, there's plenty of drama. like, so many. girls, stop. or not. keep going, it's actually interesting. the struggles never solved between characters, not having common ideals and ... miscommunication can overwhelm you. but this situation is also very realistic. you get anxious and sad with them, thinking about what to do. and while this turmoil continues, the introduction of new characters is handled perfectly in the story too.

and one thing left i need to mention; although the main plot is about music, we barely watch "music performances" in the series. yet all this fuss is about "music". the friendship dramas born with "music". music helps them in every possible way. that's the point. you can still tell a story that involves music without adding the long stage scenes.

characters:
compared to previous bandori characters, these ones feels more "gen z" like. there aren't many waifu-style characters with certain appealing traits, like being cute or sexy etc. (okay, maybe raana..) i'm not saying bandori girls are basic or boring. actually i've always praised original characters as well. their stories are wonderful too. but mygo has characters that everyone can empathize with. they are not people you look at from afar and just stay with admiration. cgdct is not here, there are human-like characters which you can find yourself in. they break down very quickly, they tend to be selfish and run away randomly. and as expected, they are not very charming... but you can still enjoy character development by starting to understand them. trust me. you will like them.

sound:
oh, the seiyuus... the worst category i guess. while the best thing about bandori being their perfect seiyuu choices for each character, this make me so sad. i can't comment about band-live but their voice acting... i believe they will develop in time. otherwise, music is top tier as always. the lyrics really touches the hearts as if they came from the pen of someone who seriously has gone through these loneliness and tomori's voice is so peaceful <3 they've already became one of my favorite bands !!

overall, mygo has the potential to be the best bandori story. it's not just bandori, it might be one of the best music-themed series. there are many music-themed anime, games, etc., but very few of them convey human emotions that well. i think it's my favorite thing about mygo. everything about this feels so real and it is really surprising to watch.

This anime is one of the best one I've ever seen.
Characters are really unique and cute.
My favorite one is Soyo Nagasaki.
She is very compricated girl but also literally a teenager.
Of course, I love her looks and how she talks.

The band, probably it's MyGO!!!!!, is very characteristic and their songs are very nice.
Usually I don't watch anime about music, mainly I watch action anime, but this is an exeptional one.

I can't wait to watch next episode.

'BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!' expands on the format already established by the first three seasons of the anime while bringing with it amazing visuals and brilliant characters, all delivered with excellent emotional moments and writing.

there are few things that can compare to losing a friend. the hole in your life they tear open by leaving, the gap in days where they used to be and the reminders of memories you made staring you all in the face. maybe it was a wrong turn you took that drove them away, perhaps it was something you said or maybe your paths were never meant to cross in ... the first place. the spring sunlight paints over the memories, and leaves a gallery in your mind of the moments lost to time. this is exactly what the show feels like, a showcase of tomori's memories that stretches out into melancholy vistas that will put tears in your eyes and make you reflect on your own life, on the people you have lost and can never go back to.

tomori herself is a particular favorite of mine for everything done with her character. she's a hurt girl with everything to lose, nothing but her words to guide her in an uncertain world where everything feels dangerous because she's terrified of being hurt again. hina yomiya's voice provides incredible depth to her character, making tomori's most emotional scenes feel real in a way i do not have words for. soyo is also a standout, her lowest moments coinciding with tomori's and her overall deceptive nature were both compelling points to her character that were executed perfectly, specifically the scene with saki.

this anime takes these emotions and weaves them into a story about learning to move on and let go while entangling each passing moment with gorgeous visuals that will leave you stunned. it's truly amazing how much sanzigen can squeeze out of these models, the raw emotion and visual complexity that's able to be achieved here really impressed me especially in comparison to some of their other projects (bandori s2 specifically).

it goes without saying that this show is definitely not perfect. off the top of my head i can think of at least three episodes that are entirely unnecessary and i would actually recommend people just watch the first twelve episodes, thirteen really felt unnecessary and disconnected from the main plot. the ending here is actually nonexistent as well, which is fine for those who play the mobile game but must be jarring for those who do not. rana's character, while having a few good moments is entirely unnecessary, clearly there to fill out a fifth character position. i still love her though, as i do all of the main cast.

all in all, the release of this anime was a breath of fresh air breathed into the bandori franchise, bringing emotional storytelling to the forefront that makes for a well rounded experience, all things considered. i'm incredibly pleased with the direction of the series and how competent it seems to be when writing its characters and fleshing them out, and excited for the future of bandori's forays into anime.

I really wanted to love this. Ends up more in the "like" column. Overall, this is a step in the right direction for music anime.

Yes this does a few innovative things... for a Bang Dream show. It has deep, complicated characters and relationships... for a Bang Dream show. It has fairly strong music... for a Bang Dream show. The plot itself is not terribly complex, which is not a problem if you have strong performances. Sadly, the voice acting is not up to snuff.

When you realize that Bang Dream was conceived as a money machine first and ... everything else a distant second, the seams in the product really start to show. Sure there's some appeal to having your anime characters jump out into real life and play an actual concert... but the anime suffers for it. Anon is the "leader" trying to form a group, but is lacking in charisma. Tomori is the group's emotional core, but her performance fails to capture the emotional depth to suggest she could generate the lyrics she writes.

A lot of the positives and negatives cancel out.
+1 for great concert animation
- 1 for really crap animation otherwise
+1 for Bang Dream fan service
-1 for yuri bait (Bang Dream is notorious for this)
+1 for real teenage problems
-1 for poorly acted teenage problems

Watch Bocchi the Rock instead. Watch this if you absolutely must have another music anime in your life. Otherwise, don't settle for scraps.

This episode just gave shape and a clear explanation to the entire anime with that ending, why Sakiko is the most toxic character in the anime and her problems, if it weren't for her none of this anime would have developed. This anime is objectively speaking the best product ever released in the anime musical genre in history, not only the discography and improvement in visual quality speak very well of it but also the complexity of its characters and how they solved their problems by adapting to a great scheme of personalities, just as it happens in real life. Even the transition episodes were ... great, since they provided adequate continuity and gave shape to the plot that was being discussed at the time.

In short: Great anime in terms of script writing and camera usage, one of the best anime in 2023, super popular in Asian comminity.

I’ll try to keep this neutral and no spoiler.

~What is 'MyGO!!!!!'?

MyGO!!!!! is an original anime from a girl band series called "BanG Dream ''. And MyGO!!!!! is one of the newest bands in 2023. However, the show does nothing about the old series. There's only a couple of easter eggs for old fans, and none of them will affect new ... comers to enjoy the show.

Hence, MyGO!!!!! at the same time is also a 2.5 dimension project, which means voice actors will also hold a live concert. For more information you might check out their official website or watch live clips on their official youtube channel.

~What is MyGO!!!!! about?

A story about 5 young girls gathering together and playing music, like Bocchi the Rock but with a more realistic element in the show. The details, camera language and script writing skill in this show is peak. The first half of the show feel like watching the first half of Steins;Gate, kinda boring and having a slightly negative feeling to the main characters. However, starting from episode 5-6, things started to get moving.

After watching all 13 episodes, I will say, all the characters' actions are fully logical and loyal to their character settings. No unnecessary breaking character for the plot or any other reason. And I believe there’s no loopholes throughout the whole story, apart from things going to be mentioned in AveMujica.

~Which type of people will enjoy MyGO!!!!!

People who are looking forward to enjoy a well-written drama/ complicated relationship/ school or band theme. If you are here just seeking some “cute girls doing cute things”, you might have to consider watching Lycoris Recoil/ Bocchi/ Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei instead of MyGO!!!!!. Which is because even though there’s “cute girls doing cute things” in MyGO!!!!!, most of the time is quite “stressful” when you see characters dealing with that complicated relationship.

Also, from what I’ve heard, people who like Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight will also like this show.

~Personal thought

An anime starts off with all the debuffs you can imagine, such as “3D, original, girl’s band, etc”. From nobody cares to being the top anime in 2023, it became super popular among the Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese community. MyGO!!!!! give back the joy and faith to the audience on “original anime”. In the past 2 years, Lycoris Recoil and Witch from Mercury was great from the start. Unfortunately, I am truly not satisfied with how they script the last few episodes. Is it too much to ask to tell a good story within 12 episodes? And my answer is “no”, this anime just gives me the perfect answer sheet I’ve been looking for.

Hate to say this but at first I wasn’t liking this show very much, the voice acting was a bit off (most of them are new voice actor), and 3D anime… And now, I like this show just how much I love Steins;Gate. I can’t stop looking for fan work or official things to fulfill the emptiness after finishing the whole series. And yes, now I simp for their voice actors, I watch their official podcast on Youtube and follow their social media, and admire their hard work.

So, if you do find interest in this show after reading this, watch it and let’s hype for AveMujica anime in January 2025 together.

The story of MyGO is one of the best in the Bang Dream series. The way they set things up and then made them pay off was amazing. They didn't leave any loose ends, even the small stuff.

The camera work in the show was great. It helped us understand what the characters were feeling and set the mood for scenes. They also used the full versions of songs during live performances, which was a nice touch.

The attention to detail in replicating Tokyo locations and musical equipment was incredible. You could even identify the gear used by the characters, which is awesome if you're a music ... and gear enthusiast.

MyGO consistently had good writing, and it wasn't afraid to show intense and emotional scenes. And if you're a cat lover, you'll be happy because the series has a character who's like a cat :3 Overall, MyGO is a show worth watching and appreciating.

In short, BanG Dream MyGO is absolutely outstanding. Not just a great BanG Dream anime, but a great anime in general.

The show is a massive departure from the mess that made up the original anime trilogy. The plot has an actual sense of direction and cohesiveness, for one. For two, the writers have dropped the kira-kira doki-doki-ness, which I think is for the better. How more many generic wholesome music anime do we need?

The story features heaps of internal and external conflict as the girls battle their pasts, themselves, and their fellow musicians. The drama never feels too heavy handed, yet has enough weight ... to make you feel invested. There's also plenty of "show don't tell" and foreshadowing to reward a rewatch or keen-eyed viewer.

The animation is some of the best 3D I've ever seen. Episode 3 is completely in first person, literally putting you in the shoes of Tomori, MyGO's vocalist. Characters are plenty expressive, despite still having a somewhat "doll-like" appearance. But as a guitarist and bassist myself, the best part of the 3D animation (not only just in this anime) is smooth, accurate instrument playing.

The voice actresses are phenomenal. Taki's "huh?!" will forever be burned into my brain. As for music, I'm personally not a fan of Tomori's airy voice, but the instrumentals are very strong (I love Soyo's growly basslines).

Overall, I have the highest praise for the BanG Dream franchise taking this new direction. Now stop reading this and watch MyGO already; you don't need to slog through the original to enjoy it as much as I did.

A good band girl show with a unique entertaining female cast and some really good peaks with Sakiko and Tomori and the climax of the series in episode 10. My drawbacks would be that the visuals aren't for everyone, as the 3D bandori use isn't exactly beautiful, but the camera work in this season is at least unique every now and then. Secondly, the drama feels forced and overdramatic in the middle of the season. I didn't really like how it was written; it's not awful, just overblown at times.

But yeah, bandori is evolving for sure as older bands are graduating, and I'm glad it's ... going for something bold and unique in a new direction that pays off. I look forward to seeing more.

Let's start with my overall impression: The anime is great, but it is not for everyone.

The flaws are quite immediately obvious from the start. This is a 3D animated anime. For the most part it does not look good compared to most well-produced 2D anime. But credit's where it's due, as 3D animation goes, this is above average. The character expressions are done well, and the camera work is at times amazing, mainly during performance scenes. I can easily see many watchers turn away from this anime after the first episode or two.

The strength of the anime starts to show from episode 3. The entire ... episode tells the story about the previous band from Tomori's point of view. This is where I start to see the direction this anime is going. It is not a just a story about girls coming to form a band. It is also a story about dealing with the past. It is about conflicts happening due to personalities and motives.

For me, the greatest strength of MyGO is character development. The band members are all flawed in their own ways, and their flaws lead to them making mistakes and hurting each other. Sometimes events take a sudden turn that may surprise you, but once you consider their personalities and motives, it makes perfect sense that the event happened the way it did. And because the events are mostly character-driven, the story feels organic and flows well.

+ stand-alone story does not require any knowledge about the Bang Dream franchise

Cons:
- 3D animation is done quite well, but it's still 3D animation
- the first two episodes are probably the weakest
- mixed feelings about VAs

Poppin Party, Roselia, Raise A Suilen and all the other bands that have been at the forefront of what made the Bang Dream franchise are all placed on the back burner. While, I can't say that the first season of Bang Dream was great, you saw a real struggle with the initial start of Poppin Party get started, along with the foundation, character development, growth that led into the group finding their success into the second season. You then sprinkle in the introduction into Roselia, Afterglow, Pastel Palettes, Hello Happy World, and Raise A Suilen and you get a sense of care added to ... the mix for a better second season. A second season that is good, but not great. Mixed with an ideal, backstory, growth, and a story line that was in my opinion a very insulting one to have overall. The third season takes shape to prove what the build up was supposed to be, after two seasons and knocks it out of the park. Then, here we are with MyGo and it is just not working out in the same stratosphere, I feel like I am just seeing something that is not working as a whole. I don't find any character to be enjoyable, the story feels so all over the place, and the characters we invested in for the first three are mentioned in passing in one regard, voices are heard, and it's not doing well for me. I am trying to invest my time and effort into a franchise that has great music, but some of it just does not bode well with the future of MyGo. Had it been Morfonica given a full on season, mixed with the previous groups I would enjoy it more. This is just me with four episodes in, just the lack of care, and feel of authenticity is lost here with this newest season. Right now this season is sitting at a current 5 out of ten for me.

I took a break from watching this anime for the sake of my mental health and well being. MyGo should have been titled Bang Dream: My God is this anime so Damn Slow starring MYGO!!!!!. If you want to find the cure for insomnia then this anime is just for you. If you are a respected fan of the Bang Dream franchise; and if your favorite bands are either Afterglow, Raise A Suilen, Hello Happy World, or Morfonica. They couldn't get a season devoted to themselves fully but this was launched instead. Please send Bushiroad a well addressed letter. The face palming you will do, the pausing of your laptop or if you are casting this on your tv and need a break to cringe more then strap yourself in for it. I have no sympathy or care for any of these new characters. There is supposed to be a new Bang Dream anime coming out in 2025. I have to watch that with probably a bottle of aspirin next to myself for the ensuing headache that is going to be coming from it if MyGO is the new standard. Pure awful and I am now finished as of this typing. Man of man this anime couldn't hook you and all it did was cause pain and suffering. In a terrible way this anime makes characters unaffiliated with the main problem getting hurt by proxy. It just felt like a slow painful watch as I had to binge it to get out of the way to end my suffering. This anime is the black sheep for the Bang Dream franchise.

Beyond my expectations, I hoped it would be a fun anime according to the anime title and the previous series, but in reality there were many dark sides and betrayals in the storyline, to be honest, I couldn't enjoy this anime and several times I wanted to stop watching it, but I tried to keep looking for the positive side and maybe A good resolution at the end of the episode, which in fact remains a mess with a loose ending where the root of the conflict from the beginning of the episode is never clearly revealed, instead showing an antagonist scene with a ... broken home background, maybe if there is a season 2, the antagonist character Saki will be the main MC with the background of a broken home and to make the story darker, scenes of domestic violence are added which usually lead to scenes of immoral acts committed by his parents which change the character of the good-hearted patient into a traitor and aloof. This is in line with the last episode where a mysterious band was created with elements of gothic appearance imitating Rosalia's band. This is just my assumption, yes that's the bad impression I can imagine from this BangDream anime series, maybe this is the dark version of BangDream. I'm disappointed with this series, there isn't a single good soundtrack, there isn't a story that creates motivation related to the band and the goals they achieve, all the characters have bad social problems that end in prolonged conflict without complete resolution, so don't expect There are cheerful and positive characters in this series but there are characters with social ills who provide negative energy in the story cycle and for those who watch this anime it is really bad. I liked the previous BangDream series but not this series. So the story line rating: 4

the graphic animation is: 7.5 (the graphic background is good but yes I don't like 2.5D characters because they don't have details, they look like inflated balloons and don't blend in with the background graphics, big-eyed anime characters are not suitable for 2.5D animation)

I don't recommend this anime because it's not a fun anime with positive motivation girlband, 80% of the story is just full of conflict without creativity that reflects the band. There is not a single element in this anime that reflects the anime title BangDream!!

Rock ’n’ Dull.

As someone who enjoyed the first season of D4DJ, I was looking forward to another music-centric story by Studio Sanzigen. BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!! again boasts the studio's wonderful 3D animation with expressive character models that move smoothly and naturally without feeling like they’ve been motion captured. The poor 2D-drawn animation stands out next to the 3D whenever it’s used for background characters, but it’s not used frequently enough to stand out for your average BanG Dream enjoyer. Overall, it is once again a very impressive production.

Unfortunately, where I felt hooked and entertained by the girls of HappyAround in the first couple ... of episodes of D4DJ, the girls of BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!! don’t even seem like they want to be in the story.
It’s not a story you haven’t seen before. Members of a band argue and then break up, leaving it up to the outsider protagonist to get the band back together. Simple story, but one that works. However, in the 3 and a half episodes I watched the tone rarely shifts for the better. The cast is miserable in episode one and by episode four they still feel miserable even though there are moments of levity.
I think the show's grey colour palette is a major contribution to this. The sky is always grey and feels grey even when it’s not, the school uniforms are grey, and even the first girl we meet, Tomori has purply-grey hair. It all bleeds together into this grey mesh of dullness and even when the show does show some colour it doesn't feel like it stands out in contrast. I also really do not like the pink-haired moé blob, Anon. Her personality feels a bit sus in the beginning, but it’s her voice acting that bugs me. It feels weirdly unengaging and fake as if the voice actor doesn’t even want to be there. That could also be said for Soyo, one of the other band members.

I can’t deny that BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!! left me disappointed. When they’re done well studio Sanzigen projects can be great and enjoyable, but I found it difficult sitting through this one. The fanbase for BanG Dream is surprisingly big and I’m sure they’ll enjoy this anime, but if you’re a newcomer to the series, I find it hard to recommend this one.
