Both of these have a main duo with contrasting personalities, resulting in a fun dynamic. There are jazzy themes, with a western aesthetic. Both require suspension of disbelief but in a really fun way that only adds to your enjoyment; Great Pretender with the con artist skills and Fugou Keiji with Daisuke's expensive gadgets.
Both main protagonists involuntary team up with second main protagonists who are skillfully better than them, and are thrown into a bigger world of crime. Whether it’d be having an unlimited financial balance or expert con-artists skills (or maybe both), their dynamic personalities will soon create a special bond that’ll surely make a name for themselves in their action-packed worlds.
-both are funny
-both have main male leads with contrasting personalities
-both have side stories that continuously evolve and are tied up by the end
-both are rather short
- both are told in a similar fast paced and funny style
- main duo are guys with contrasting personalities and lifestyles
- art style has the same vibe
There are a few things why I give a try to watch an anime; their creators, the voice actors, their animation/drawing styles, and the plot. Both of these anime are created by CloverWorks, so their animation/drawing styles are similar. If you like that kind of style like me, you maybe enjoy both. They have different stories, but both have some kind of mystery and detective genre story. If you enjoy something with plot twist here and there and a lil comedic, you will enjoy Balance Unlimited more. It also has only 11 eps, you can watch it in a few days. If you enjoy something more comedic story with a lil romance, yet have enough portions for serious acts like action and detective scenes, you will enjoy Spy x Family. read more
Spy x Family is like if Daisuke and Suzue had a kid, and this series was about their family life. There's so many similiarities between Daisuke and Loid, Suzue and Yor, and the art style is also similar, though Spy x Family takes on a more casual, less "buttoned up" look. Their relationship dynamic is also much more natural than Daisuke's and Suzue's (order, professional based).
-Both anime's mains are duos who solve problems together
-FKBU is more into the serious type, while jr is a light-hearted anime about jewels.
-JR is more into showing the different types of love.
-The visuals are aesthetically pleasing and relaxing.
Both anime have male duos working together to solve mysteries. The case files of jeweler Richard is about jewellery appraisal and solving various requests (all associated with jewels), whereas the millionaire detective - balance:unlimited is about a pair of detectives resolving crimes with the use of a bank account with an unlimited sum of money. There are similar dynamics between the characters of each series with one of the duo being high-class and elegant and the other being more lively and clumsy. Both of the anime have similar art styles and are visually pleasing.
Both dealing with mysteries and sassy detectives. I just get familiar, fun, badass vibes from each anime. However, Bungou Stray Dogs includes magic while Fugou Keiji is different in that there is none. But besides that factor they're very similar!
If you enjoy the Detective Mystery side of Bungou Stray Dogs then you might enjoy Fugou Keiji: Balance Unlimited, This show follows two main characters Haru Kato and Daisuke Kambe as they work as police officers. It's also a lot shorter than Bungou Stray Dogs.
This anime is similar becomes it has 2 mc characters that are quite the opposite of own another. Their traits and differences defines their character. Both anime have characters different ways of benefiting goodness for other people.
These two animes are similar because of the awesome action and characters. Both shows have characters you will fall in love with and of course there are 2 mc's that have an awesome friendship. The friendships form throughout the shows and I just fell in love with them. And that action is just top tier. Some might not agree, but it is good. I really recommend it if you like either shows.
Detectives working separate cases realize that certain mysteries are related, leading to a deeper darker conspiracy. Police-work is aided by high-tech.
Both shows give off kind of the same vibe with the overall plot, the main difference is that fugou has kind of a more light hearted atmosphere and some comedy but in general they felt the same to me.
kinda got a similar vibe from both shows, both are about fighting crime and both protagonists are/were police men who got somewhat degraded (?) due to making a mistake.
Both anime feature main characters with essentially magical items, whether it's a phone, wallet or card to spend obscene amounts of money to do all sorts of crazy things to accomplish their goals
In both anime, the two detectives who don't get along with each other. The reason they can't get along is because they want to solve things with different solution methods.
Both Psycho-Pass and Fugou Keiji have similarities: Action, Police, Mystery and some Sci-Fi. Though Fugou Keiji has more comedy, while Psycho-Pass seems darker.
There are two main characters who have to solve the same problems, but have different views on how to do so, leading to arguments. They still have to work together though.
There are other supporting characters who are quite important to the story, even though it's centered around just a few.
Both anime start off with episodic stories (probably for world building and character introduction) before having a long connected story arc for the rest of the season.
As said before, Fugou Keiji has more comedy. One of the main characters has unlimited money and just spends it to solve problems, sometimes resulting in hilarious situations. Or maybe it's how he does it that seems hilarious. I don't know... comedy... not my forte.
Psycho-Pass is darker, with more violence, exploding people, and deaths. I'm not saying there are deaths of important characters, but the 'villains' tend to die at the end of the episode, whereas in Fugou Keiji there was an episode where two teenage robbers had a freaky incident. but were otherwise unharmed.
There's also the epic theme songs, but I guess that's not necessary for a recommendation.
I still say, if you like one, you might also enjoy the other. Just ... If you can't stand violence, blood, gore, whatever, don't watch Psycho-Pass.

Both series are somewhat similar with trying to bring justice out from an crime case, I would recommend zankyou no terror with more mature audience
But both are really similar , I found millionaire detective has a lot of comedy ans stuff you should really check them out both
Similarities between both :-
• Both are detective Animes
• Both are of 11 episodes and have no sequel
• Both have 'About-to-retire' detectives , who were earlier in the Main detective force , but were later shifted to the Drafts because they had controversial unsolved cases ,, viz. - Shibazaki San and Cho San
Both shows feature a crime-solving duo that have a rough beginning but over time, develops into a friendship through their adventures together.
They both feature futuristic technology that aids their investigations, as well as a fun police team they are apart of.
Rich people use their money to fight crime.
Both have protagonist with a mysterious past.
Both have secret agent vibes to it.
Both have high end action scenes.
Both shows deal with corporations using powerful objects for their own gain.
Similar aesthetic.
Both approach the same theme, the mystery.
Both have male characters as protagonists and a female character as deuteragonist.
Light and easy to watch anime.
Enjoy, and one more thing, both are wonderful.
Both the MCs kinda give the same vibe. Both come of respectable high class families and are kinda spoilt by the facilities they have been getting since childhood and both hate responsibilities and are kinda lazy to abide by the rules.
Similarities:
- Both are police animes
- Both have two main characters who get closer to each other than the rest of the force.
- They both have an experienced worker being moved down to work with the lowest in the police force.
Differences:
- Fugou Keiji has a lot more action whilst Hakozume is more slice of life based.
- The main characters are boys and boys and girls and girls.
- Fujou gets more into cases and doesn't get into normalised police work, Hakozume does.
Both these anime are truly amazing, they both show different sides of mystery and adventure. I would recommend that if you like one you’ll like the other. Balance unlimited was a quick love for me, as soon as I saw the first episode I knew that it would become one of my favourites. However compared to that Classroom of the Elite was slow to begin for me, but as I got to know the main character I was hooked, he was just too interesting. But this could be related to the fact that the main character is apathetic in a way that draws watchers in. Both of these anime are ones that I would highly recommend. read more
If you liked this anime you should definitely check out this one they both have a similar vibe and both have something to do with getting justice and solving mysteries related to crimes.
Although Balance Unlimited isn't as dark as banana fish, the similarities I have from both is big people have their hands on a dangerous thing (banana fish/adollium) that can ruin the whole world.
Both are crazy, nonsensical and over-the-top comedy that has ridiculousness built into it. Although Fugou Keiji is more serious and has less echi, I recommend you give the show a try
Both episodic shows centered around 'law-keeping' in an alternate universe and associated misadventures
Very similar bold style of character introductions and general vibe
Balance Unlimited is more realistic and "cool", with a James Bond-esque feel in an alternate world appearing similar to modern day.
Kekkai Sensen is very colorful and playful, taking place in a magical version of New York City
Both explore the city/worldbuild within the premise of the case per episode, but also have a long-term dramatic narrative arc.
The characters are practically the same people, however, in Ikebukuro West Gate Park (IWGP), the MC tries to solve problems only when it occurs in their set/area/neighborhood. Main characters Makoto (Haru) and Takashi (Daisuke) are statically the same people, however IWGP is about gangs and warring factions, where as Fugou Keiji is a detective/crime based genre. Each still focuses on learning the truth and to clean up the streets within their respective areas.
Both animes are about special police departments, where a couple of colleagues are investigating strange cases. Each anime has a partner who, for some reason, has a phobia about gun.
