So, I'll keep this simple. A lot of people don't seem to understand what this short film is. It's an incredible artistic feat. This film is the first hand-drawn anime to be done in full 4K resolution and it has so much detail in the art, that it took 2 years to complete. I think a lot of people watching this probably think the whole thing is a computer graphic animation or something because of how high fidelity it is, but that's not the case. This was actually hand drawn. Appreciate it for being a historic artistic feat. Enjoy it like you would a painting, ... and you'll get a lot more enjoyment out of it. If you try to view it as some kind of full-story anime, then you will be disappointed. But as an art piece, this brief anime film is historic and groundbreaking, and truly a masterpiece example of what Production I.G's animators can do.

I will keep this a pretty short review since this is about a 4 minute short movie.

It was hard to understand the story they were trying to put across as they jumped around a lot, but the imagery was by no means boring. One thing I am not fully understanding is their idea of Hand Drawn as there were a couple things that looked pretty CGed, When people say hand drawn, I normally picture that as all being 2D designs. In that way, I was not very blown away with people calling it the first Hand drawn show to be in that high quality ... because it just seemed confusing for me.

The music though was amazing and just for the music and beauty of it all, it was quite interesting to see. I feel like it could of been a opening to a game trailer or a teaser for a new anime coming out if it really wanted to because I did become a bit interested in just what story they wanted to tell. Some of the story elements did seem to be reused from other shows, but it was how they placed them into the world that sort of made them feel a little more fresh I thought.

1. Not a unique story. Art Style interesting... seemed more like a tech demo. Not a " anime film" like it proclaims to be.

2. There really wasn't much of a story. But the art style was cool

3. 0 character development we don't even know a name or a purpose really. Just flying on a familiar and a bunch of monsters attacking.

4. The character just defended herself and kept travelling. I was a bit bored.

5. Don't think it'll gain traction as is: it is an interesting concept and world I will return if it becomes a fully thought out work.

Will re-rate and re review if it changes to actually be a film in the future.
