Slayers in the order it was originally released. Order is given according to the starting date, i.e. Slayers Return was released in August of 1996 while Slayers Special was released from July 1996 to May 1997 so Special is listed first because it began first.

The simplified version is: TV series should be watched in order, while the movies and OVAs are generally standalones and often prequels; it's unadvisable to watch them without watching at least some of the anime first, but they do not necessarily need to be watched in order.

This guide aims to show the chronological order of events. I recommend watching in that order, as the release order is confusing.

It is worth remembering that the anime follows a different story from the Light Novel and the Manga.
