soo, I just finished watching girls' last trip and I need to write something about it.

to be honest, first three or four episodes were just boring (if it was a shaft production, it would be ok for me to watch it without any problems, because shaft is a firm that specializes in this type of animation). i mean, i expected much more from this type of anime. many scenes were illogical and the characters pretended that nothing was actually happening.
even when Kanazawa appeared, i didn't find anything interesting about this show.

oh god, i was so wrong back then.

shoujo shuumatsu ryokou is an anime, ...

I watched this one thanks to a recommendation from my boyfriend, the only thing I knew about this before watching it was the OP and how silly and cute Yuuri was.

I wasn't expecting much when I initially started watching it, but as I watched more and more of the anime I fell in love with everything it had to offer.

The few characters in his cast, the devastated and melancholic world, the tender relationship between Chito and Yuuri and etc. were damn good.

I don't regret having seen it at all, if you have free time and want to see something entertaining, this series is for you

An ...

Girl last tour is one of my personal favorite show but it's clearly not an anime everyone can enjoy. If you are not into slice of life about « cute girl doing cute thing » and where there’s no real scenario and things are moving slowly because it’s more about contemplation and the dialogues, there's a lot of chances you’ll find it boring. But I'm personally into this, so what did I thought about it.

Has I said, there's no real story in the anime, each episode are divide into sections and they can all be roughly resumed "the two main character found something, they talk about it, ...

I'd happily oblige to give this anime a 10 out of 10 in everything this anime has done: characters, setting, atmosphere, sound and all. But that wouldn't do this justice now, wouldn't it?

Also, this is my first review, so don't spam hate on me, please:
The setting of this anime, an apocalyptic aftermath on a massive multi-layered city, truly provided a different or bizarre but interesting tone to the post-apocalypse genre. Loneliness, calmness, a sense of discovery and the value of companionship; Girls Last Tour definitely brought these aspects to life in a way I have never seen, known or thought of before.

Seeing our two characters ...

What is the reason that we are alive? Why do we exist? Are we really born with a great purpose in our lives?

Certainly you’ve already asked yourself about that at some point in your life, we all went through some more reflective moments where we tried to validate our attitudes and values to be able to move on...however, if I say that everything you have built and conquered, where even your own existence, will be forgotten in time? That's exactly what Girls' Last Tour, or Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou, Tsukumizu's original work, tries to answer us in his Anime as a whole

The story takes place in ...

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou (Girls’ Last Tour) is 50% atmosphere, 30% metaphor, and 20% girls overcoming physical obstacles on their journey. If someone dislikes it, it’s not because they “don’t get it,” so much as they’re not picking up what the show is throwing down, if you get my meaning.

The highly anachronistic military hardware in this far future setting told me right away that this world wasn’t meant to be taken literally but figuratively. This story is all about the journey because there is no destination. Not even an ending or conclusion.

The charming character duo can be interpreted as the Id and the ...

Note: I have not read the source material (manga), so this review will be based on the anime alone.

Girls’ last tour follows two girls, Chi and Yui as they wander around a post-apocalyptic wasteland scavenging for food, fuel, and pondering about life in general. Despite having a fantastic world setting, the actual story is presented in a more slice-of-life way, with each episode containing one or two short stories with a theme.

The fact that this vast, amazing world is so underutilized is such a pity. We see what appears to be a far-future city built in multiple layers, each layer with a rather distinct design ...

I was only looking for an anime to spend some time watching but I got much more than I expected.

At first look, Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou may seem like a kids show because of it's childish art style and characters but don't let that deceive you. It actually tells a lot about humanity and it's history.

So, the story is about two girls named Chito and Yuuri exploring the earth that has been ruined by wars. On their way, they learn all sorts of things about the past of the places they visit and the people that have lived there. The things they learn are sometimes ...

Chito and Yuuri are two good friends, who have found themselves wandering the destructive remains of humanity. As they climb to the higher levels of the older civilisation that once remained, they come across many strange and wonderful things. Their journey to the top-most level leads them on a path of contemplation and discovery of the fate of the world and eventually themselves. Girls Last Tour explores many of these themes through often comedic, nonchalant and intriguing ways, as opposed to the many overly dramatic, vapidly tragic and violent trappings one would expect from a post-apocalyptic story.

In the fall of 2017, Girls Last Tour ...

You Know it took me a little while to figure out just how i was going to talk about this series. Because unlike any other series I've reviewed so far. "Girls' Last Tour" doesn't have a designated story plot, that I can explain at length or go into heavy detail on. Instead what we have is the story of two young girls and their day to day lives and discoveries as they travel through a post apocalyptic world.

Now that being said, the scripting and writing does a good job, when it comes to relaying the realism and relevancy of the story. As a lot of ...

This is my first time reviewing an anime, so bear with me.

I'm going to try to keep this as spoiler free as possible, so here goes:

The story is probably the weakest part of Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou, but that is not what this anime focuses on (in my opinion). I'm sure if I were to read the manga I would probably appreciate it much more.

I'm a very large fan of the chibi art style for most of the characters and the environment is very beautiful. I'm also a huge fun of WWII themes, which is what drew me into this anime in the first place. The ...

I started watching anime in 2012. i have watched and enjoyed many shows since then, this is no exception. this show takes everything good about the manga and improves upon it. it went far beyond my expectations and has become one of my favorite shows. i love everything about the show and it ended exactly how i wanted it to. i'm happy this exists and hope others will take the time to give it a chance.

The sound: In grounding objects and characters into the world, the sound does a great job in doing this. the music used throughout episodes are all memorable and set the ...

Preliminary (6/12 eps)
The concept of ”feel-good shows” have never particularly interested me. A majority of them I’ve watched or tried to watch have either been boring or lacked the ability to feel fulfilling in any meaningful way. Girls Last Tour is most definitely a feel-good show, so by my previous experiences with this kind of show I shouldn’t be as in love with the show as I am, and in love with this show, I truly am.

Story: 6 (Fine)

The story and plot of Girls Last Tour is arguably the shows weakest link. Just as with most slice of life shows, the plot takes a backseat to ...

Girls' Last Tour was pretty enjoyable and very sweet to watch. it was an anime that makes you happy and that you want to comeback at the end of a hard day,

This anime has a very cute story with deep meaning about things in our society and the world. Its a slice of life that it doesn't have an specific story or a finish line but with each story develop throughout the episodes that makes the viewer reflect upon things while laughing and crying while watching this lovely series. This anime is pretty sweet and very funny and combines elements of slice of life ...

Girl's Last Tour occupies a world of shows that not many are aware of and even fewer comprehend, and I can't necessarily pretend to be a part of the latter category. It's certainly unconventional by traditional standards, but there's also a quality to it that's hard to look away from.

"Comfy" is the word of the day, and Girl's Last Tour is committed to the idea regardless of how you feel about it. Not a lot happens on an episode-to-episode basis, but it's all thickly atmospheric. You're mostly invited to take in the bleak scenery while the characters muse on some light philosophy. Not that there ...

One amazing piece of poetry and philosophy this anime is. (And i please beg you to read the manga) 905$$#

The Story is set in this metalic and grey post-war world in which was once full of technology, the girls go through the layers of this world trying to find something, maybe a better future for them, every layer gets more and more complex, the visual art in this anime is amazing, the philosophycal background of how hopeless the reality is and how dead is everytime going around this girls mind and the way they express their desire to keep living, to understand what reality is ...

The poster of the two adorable girls compelled me to start watching, but it was the subtleties of the anime and its philosophical content that kept me attentive for the whole twelve episodes (plowed through it in one sitting).

Starting off with a very intriguing setting in which two young girls with polar personalities are exploring an abandoned edifice in a quintessential post-apocalyptic world, the story then develops in a very slow-paced manner. The general notion of the story is crystal clear, but the lack of chronology adds the element of curiosity and surprise to the story. The two girls kept on moving forward on their ...

Preliminary (9/12 eps)
Story
I don’t think it is very fair to rate the story of this anime given the fact that there is not much of a story being told. This is a show about two girls trying to survive in a cold post-war world. It combines the struggles of survival with all the questions that may arise with it.

Art
There is a very obvious contrast between the design of the characters and the scenery. While the characters have a very childish feel to them, the scenery is composed of several intriguing infrastructures painted in a dark pallette.
This might have been done on purpose to accentuate ...

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou is a seamless blend of a slice of life and a post-apocalyptic story and as a result, it represents the absolute best of both worlds.

The story follows an episodic narrative as our two protagonists, Chito and Yuuri make their way through the ruins of the world. Each and every single one of the episodes brings something different and unique to the table. Some of them focus on the duo doing something relatively mundane, like attempting to make rations. These episodes are made good by the well written comedic dialogue and good slapstick, as well as the very enjoyable personalities ...

As far as i know this anime is one of few that went to explore our future without too much "magic" tech. Could be a masterpiece if not for absence of consideration how much people (and any other species) strive to survive in any circumstances (funny thing is that girls do pretty good in that regard). It is hard to say why exactly this story sucks without spoiling it as author explains his idea throughout 12 episodes in slow pace and figuring out what exactly happening there is part of fun.

I can accept that their vehicle is somehow able to survive to some degree all ...
