Comedies that mock their own genre, its tropes on clichés. Great replayability.

These anime have what i consider personality, or soul, they have some unique aspects, memorable characters, an artstyle that adds a lot to the show, this kind of stuff.
They are not necessarily good.

Basically just a slice of life series, stress free without heavy plot and absolutely no worries with a hint of comedy [few people find these boring so please suit yourself]

Sometimes you want to watch an underground anime that no one else has watched to show your ultimate weeb skillz. Maybe this stack can help you :) If not then welp, you are already a weeb. (Also I'm not saying that all these anime are exceptionally and actually good. Just not that known)

Shows in which protagonists exhibit their strength in satisfying ways, whether it's through unmatched skill, great use of their intellect, or both.

Anime with asexual (ace) and/or aromantic (aro) characters. Most are headcanons.

This is my list as a native english speaker who prefers to watch dubbed. There may be a rare few I thought were pretty funny that also deserved a spot despite being subbed. You may boo me you sub puritans but you're just mad that other people enjoy things you don't like.

The story may suck, the art may be terrible, the music may be awful, or it might not even be a comedy... But it still got a genuine laugh. Not a chuckle or breathing out slightly, but at least one moment got an actual laugh.

Some/most of these are actually good shows, some are dumpster fires that you can't help but watch, some are just outright bad. But it still got a laugh.

Anime that you can watch without having to worry about paying too much attention. Mostly slice of life/episodic anime.

I obviously haven't watched every single 'non-complex' anime, and some entries are from what I've heard of from the anime, so if you think there's something that should be added here or something should be removed, message me.
