Animeby Weebookey

These anime suffer from production issues that leave the source material to be cut, rearranged or completely abandoned - rendering it not cannon at all! These decisions don't necessarily ruin the series, but its something to take into account if u are after the full plot from the original author. If u enjoy these I highly urge you to read the manga for full experience!

*Filler episodes are not labelled here, do not expect Bleach and Naruto here*

This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious).

This stack is a work in progress.

These are shows which are amazing, each in their own way, however they were never finished. The list doesn't include shows that new seasons have been announced like Spice & Wolf (thank God for the new season). The sooner the better, Japan!
EDIT: Spice & Wolf definitely worthed it but a 2nd season is necessary! Also, so many shows that needed another season were aired or announced like Black Butler and Dorohedoro, so i removed them from this list. Let's go, Japan! Make Haruhi happen!
EDIT 2: Grand Blue Season 2 is officialy announced, so i removed it! Let's go, Japan!
If i hear about a Claymore sequel or remake, i' ll lose my mind! It doesn't seem like a dream anymore.

Don't have time? These are the anime for you! Anime with less than 6 episodes. Their stories are complete (you won't feel like it ended with a cliffhanger) and really enjoyable. For people who love anime but don't have too much time to watch them.
*Ayakashi includes 3 short horror stories (separate from each other). I recommend the 3rd one (episodes 9-11).
*Aoi Bungaku includes 6 short stories (separate from each other). You can watch either one and you will enjoy it.
*The Grimm Variations includes 6 short stories (separate from each other). You can't really go wrong with classic Grimm fairy tales.
*Anime classified as movies are less than 30 minutes long.
*All Itou Junji anime include smaller short horror stories (separate from each other). Most are of decent quality for a casual watch. (Also, give the World of Horror game a try, you'll be surprised)

In this stack you will find all debatable isekai anime, by debatable I mean anime that a lot of people consider isekai even though they are not explicitly stated like ones here on MAL. This list also includes OVAs, ONAs, specials and movies. There is some not yet aired stuff on here too!

How many have you seen? Have fun discovering your new favourites!

Anime where MC advances by beating challenges with stakes.
Bonus points if it totters on life of death, threatens friendships, or has additional psychological aspects.

Isekai as an idea is just transporting to "another" world. There are endless possibilities so it's kind of crazy how pretty much all of them are near identical in idea, even the good ones.

So, as a result, some of the shows that should be considered isekai, aren't even remembered as that because of the image of the word "isekai" being the same exact generic fantasy.

BUT

There are many shows that transport a character to a new world, and couldn't be anymore different from your average "in another world" story... HENCE, I WELCOME THEE TO:
