Interest StacksJust some anime I've seen that I think do a good job of hitting emotions that are hard to put into words. What makes an anime a classic? This is a hotly debated topic in the anime community. I've seen people argue that status as a classic is about popularity, impact, memorability, acclaim, etc. But definitions that try to analyze anime based on a series of factors too procedural and legalistic for my taste (which is funny given that I will soon be an actual lawyer). Anime that are super short! Animes that make for great "turn your brain off" viewings. I'm using "schlock" in all its broad iterations; from blacksploitation films to campy ultraviolence. If it crosses the realm of tacky to achieve great camp-value, it earns its spot here. Whether ineptly produced, expertly crafted or otherwise, they're all good ol' dumb fun! Anime known for being confusing, for a wide variety of reasons. Maybe the story is told out of chronological order, maybe it's storytelling is abstract, maybe it makes use of metaphor and surrealism, maybe it is purposely left up to interpretation. Whatever it is, it's going to require a rewatch. Animes with that Specific vibe and atmosphere that you can't put a name to but you know which vibe I'm referring to once you see them. The most popular anime on MyAnimeList as of October 28th, 2007. Anime featuring mainly traditionally animated, hand drawn robots made between the year 2000 and 2009. As CGI started being used in anime in this period, some mecha series started shifting towards CGI robots, I think this list would be really helpful. This is literally just a list of anime I was obsessed with as a young teenager with a lot of mental problems Esta pagina necesitaba una lista de estas características, más que nada con este titulo, solo por el titulo :D . Personally I think Gundam is pinnacle of mecha anime but since a big chunk of the series I wanted to make a list of shows that I think have really cool art, artistic symbolism, or art styles. Original sci-fi anime, one entry per series/franchise. These are a list of anime found on the reddit post of the same name (https://www.reddit.com/r/Animedubs/comments/1038ih1/good_must_watchdubbed_anime/) that I found to be interesting and will be watching myself. I'll be leaving the first season of each show, of course you should watch the continuation of them in future seasons and OVAs if you enjoy the initial show. |
