A collection of anime series. All produced by different directors/studios. The anime consist of original projects, spin-off projects, promotional films, Music PV, and VJ Films etc. Robot Carnival was made in the 90's while Nihon Animator Mihonichi was made 2014

We've two anime which were released within about a year of each other which use a very dark, gothic style and delves into the depravity of humanity and tragedy in a way that really draws the viewer in.

Angel's egg and robot carnival's "presence" not only have the same art style and music, but take place in in a world of technology. Both have odd girls with the same wavy hair even though one is a robot. The over all feeling of angel's egg is so close to that of robot carnival that it would almost fit with the other shorts. (besides the fact they aren't on earth and no robots that I know of.)

These anime differ in plot structure, genre, and animation styles, but they focus their themes on questions and issues surrounding androids and robotics. The greatest focus is on what it means to be ‘alive’, where androids and robots could potentially have human-like consciousness and self-awareness.

Both films are anthologies revolving around science fiction concepts. Several of the animatrix shorts have the theme of robotics and their dangers. Both are very visually innovative. As I was rewatching the Animatrix, I really felt as if I was watching Robot Carnival 2 at times.

bother robot carnival and interstella are music oriented. Even though robot carnival has some segments with dialog, interstella does not. they both have an 80's feel to them and are both very enjoyable.

A collection of shorts by different people. Robot Carnival's theme is, self-evidently, 'Robots', while genius party does not follow a particular theme as such.

Robot Carnival feels in many ways like a blueprint for Metropolis, some of the effects feels almost frame-by-frame. If you love sci-fi art these two are gems you shouldn't miss.
