These are H&E series I'd categorize as "Progressive."

This doesn't indicate quality, originality, or anything sociopolitical so much as being H&E series that have priorities which radically depart from traditional H&E priorities. They could do anything from use some wacky narrative structure to implementing ecchi in some way to focusing more heavily on the MC relative to the harem. Things that go outside of the priorities stated in the traditionalist stack, and either in ways that are far too pronounced to be considered moderate, departing from tradition far too often to be considered moderate, or both.

I'm not saying these series don't tend to appeal to H&E fans, or might appeal more to people who don't typically like H&E. I'm saying that these are the series that don't adhere to traditional sensibilities within the genre, for better or for worse.

Anime Unleashed was an anime block that was broadcast on the American cable TV network G4. Anime Current is its Canadian counterpart. The block is notable for having a unique catalog of sci-fi anime including popular titles such as Serial Experiments Lain and rather obscure titles such as Betterman. In my opinion, this is one of the strangest but also coolest block of anime to air on American TVs.

Super thicc, gluttonous, fat, chubby, and plump girls

Anime that have a female main character that is strong. This can include: strong willed, an intellectual, physically strong, magically adept or a mix of those traits. Most of the time they are portrayed as mature and respectful.

These traits makes the character(s) heads above the average female portrayal in the anime medium.

For this list, the character[s} are:
-- Strong (of course)
and
-- A Woman (adult female / mature for their age teen)
and
-- A Main Character
or
-- Not main but appears often in the anime (not a one episode cameo character)

Anime that are actually seinen but may look like shounen or often mistaken as shounen, when infact they’re officially and clearly seinen because they originated from seinen manga for reasons.

Buzz was a Spanish subscription television channel produced by AMC Networks International Iberia. Its programming focused on horror content, both in current series and movies.

Despite not being Spanish, I have managed to appreciate the content that this channel transmitted along with several of its dubbings into Castilian Spanish, which, from my point of view, are mostly worth it.

People fighting bare handed, without weapons or armor.

A stint of anime which aired briefly on IFC, Fuse, TechTV, G4, and Chiller. Ordered alphabetically by their English titles; the channels which aired them are also noted.

At least one main female character is physically strong, preferably the protagonist.

Physical strength applies both to hand-to-hand combat and proficiency in wielding weaponry (marksmanship, swordsmanship, archery etc.) as well as ability and talent in a physical sport.

No magical/supernatural power allowed unless it enhances physical strength.
