A Corgi can certainly dream! Taking a break from the frequent antics his colleagues get him into, Bebop crewmate Ein envisions himself sipping a tropical beverage on the beachside and scuba diving with Edward amid a barrier reef.

In this "picture drama," Ein fantasizes about his ideal summer vacation.

The Cowboy Bebop series has been released in a Blu-ray format four times throughout the 21st century, with the fourth and most recent release being distributed by Bandai Visual in Japan beginning on December 21, 2012. The limited edition Blu-ray disc box set comes with a variety of paraphernalia, like production materials, audio commentaries, bonus footage, postcards, as well as Cowboy Bebop: Ein no Natsuyasumi—the latter of which would have been the first franchise-related animation in over a decade had it not been a series of still images.

Alternatively titled "Ein’s Summer Vacation," the special is paired with the song "Doggy Dog," as performed in English by Seatbelts, responsible for much of the musical score that appears throughout the main anime series. The same track can be found on their album Cowboy Bebop Vitaminless.

In 2013, distributor Anime Limited acquired a home video license for the United Kingdom; Part 1 of the Blu-ray collection was released on July 29, 2013. Appearing on the Part 1 disc, this would be the first time Western audiences could obtain a copy of the bonus short for themselves.

This marvel of modern animation is truly a blessing, and I, for one, feel like I can finally follow my dreams because of its divine power. Let me evaluate this masterpiece, though no numbers could truly express the raw, emotional power of this one minute short:

The best story is no story at all, and Ein no Natsuyasumi's power to put unrelated drawings together is masterful.

My Eyes bled rainbows because they couldn't handle the beauty of this. If you like colors and art, and colorful art, you'll love this.

I have no idea what this music is supposed to be ( I swear there's a section read more

Cowboy Bebop is a revolutionary anime from the brilliant mind of Shinichiro Watanabe that changed how westerners of a generation viewed anime, and still continues to affect the industry to this day.

And this is a dog.

As this is the first picture drama I have ever seen, I can't say it was bad. I have no reference point to justify saying that. It showed some art of Ein from Bebop, and thanks to the music it still managed to bring back the nostalgia of the anime.

All in all, for a minute of your time, this is worth a watch. Even if you haven't seen/don't care read more

(Yeah, I'm really reviewing this...).

So, do you want to know how the cute dog Ein would look in a more modern art, And you wanna make your anime list look bigger? So, here's your chance XD.

I think this simple 1 minute special shows how legendary Cowboy Bebop is/was, since more than a decade latter people still remember and treasure it to the point of making this apparently insignificant special.

Of course that I'm not going to talk about the story, characters or soundtrack (as for the art, the only thing I got to say is that it is modern and beautiful) because the only thing that read more

Cowboy Bebop is a great western theme anime filled with great aura and ideology which eastern culture lacks. In this 2nd Review in an anime special. This special is better made than the first one I saw abd made a review which Black Bullet Special Teshu girls. I appreciate greatly the art than the other aspect. There is no nothing memorably mention I really just enjoy the art depiction dedication in Ein and all in all I give a rate 2 for this is what the rate this stand alone special deserves. If it is Cowboy Bebop series I will give it's deserving praise. read more
