New Interest Stack
Interest Stacksrequirements: it's good. its confusing Releases which draw in meaningful ways from the named esoteric Hellenic spiritual tradition in their symbolism, themes, or both (Alchemy, Kabbalah, etc.). Most elements from the practice are fairly perennial in their implementation, and this is something up to interpretation, so I've tried to be strict without relying on explicit references. This Interest Stack is directly inspired by Digibro's "250 Anime Recommendations". Everything listed here is directly taken from the original video. Buzz was a Spanish subscription television channel produced by AMC Networks International Iberia. Its programming focused on horror content, both in current series and movies. A collection of shows with a particular atmosphere: Melancholy, often weird, supported by a particular style of visual storytelling. A stint of anime which aired briefly on IFC, Fuse, TechTV, G4, and Chiller. Ordered alphabetically by their English titles; the channels which aired them are also noted. Anime featuring mainly traditionally animated, hand drawn robots made between the year 2000 and 2009. As CGI started being used in anime in this period, some mecha series started shifting towards CGI robots, I think this list would be really helpful. Personally I think Gundam is pinnacle of mecha anime but since a big chunk of the series Original sci-fi anime, one entry per series/franchise. These are extremely good, high quality mecha anime picked across 5 decades of the medium you can get emotionally invested in, creating a genuine level of immersion to their masterful work. They are meaningful, real life influencing works, with themes that serve as important life lessons, with characters so connectable they might as well be real people, with fully realized concepts and fantasies, with stories worth the gravitas and seriousness they demand. While they might be on different levels in the immersion scale, they're all pieces of art that with their good animation, writing, directing, sound direction, art direction, and theming are well worth a watch even for non-mecha fans. |
