Angel's Feather

I have nothing personal against this anime or people who like it...but...I didn't think it was very good at all. It was completely underdeveloped: the story, characters, everything. And it seems little effort was put into it. Not that you can expect a lot from a two episode show, but they could have done better than THAT. It wasn't put together well enough for me to get anything out of it. Maybe that's why they call it an OVA, 'cause you're supposed to play the game first, but still...At least with other OVAs I'm able to get the gist of the story and enjoy them ... a little bit. I'd expect much more in both the story and quality of an OVA made in 2006.

I give it a 5. It just was not worth my time. Definitely not my thing. If you like the style of the game and really cliche shounen-ai stuff, you could possibly enjoy this somewhat.

Angel's Feather

Admittedly I only tried to watch this because one of the characters looks like Sephiroth with Vincent's eyes (Final Fantasy VII), but this anime is nothing like the game.

In it's favor I can say it has some beautiful art, though it is very short and that doesn't give it a lot of time for the plot to develop. It does have a plot though and the main issue will be somewhat resolved, but then a bigger one will be placed before the main cast, ending in a cliff hanger.

The characters have potential but two episodes are no where near enough to develop that many ... character. Overall what this really needs is a sequel.

The story line could definitely have made this a longer series. At least, to me it seems they had it all set up to make it a longer series, maybe 13 - 26 episodes if not more. I'm sad to see such an amazing and inspiring story line go to... well, waste. Much more could've been tacked on to it to develop everything a little more.

Art wise, the animation was very pretty and it was the main reason I decided to watch it (besides the fact I heard it was a BL series). The coloring, the lights and the overall art is spectacular... and it ... makes me wish it was longer so I could watch more of the beautiful features of it.

Overall I believe it just should've been a longer series. Maybe possibly it could have a sequal or something to extend it. But, for now I'll stick to fanfiction or something.

well.. i was waiting for better anime than this.. i don't want anyone to think that i'm just too mad at this anime, so i'll write everything in succession:

Story : story is interesting but series are too short, authors probably didn't had much money to make them bigger (which made this anime worse). actually i love anime about angels, and i liked it at first, but it doesn't even has an ending :| it just stops in the middle of the real story because of unknown reasons..

Art : i really liked it's art! they must have had really good painters!

Sound : i must say that ... soundtracks are good, but they don't fit anime's atmosphere, they're too noisy

Character : i didn't notice at first, but their faces are too alike and generally characteristics are too obscure..

Enjoyment : i can't say that i enjoid it, but i have seen worse..

Overall : it was not bad, but it could have been better. as i already said authors could have tried a bit more!

This anime has a good background, coming from a video game where the story is more developed, but the anime itself should have been spread out over more than two episodes so that the story, characters, and plot could be developed. Also it should not be considered yaoi, since there was none in it. The artwork was pretty good and had a bunch of cute boys and cute scenes, and that was the best out of everything for this series.
