Both are anime series produced by Konami off of a certain game (ZOE for a video game and YGO for a card game) Though different, Zexal II has one of the monsters named Number 107 Tachyon Dragon that highly resembles to an orbital frame from the ZOE series Despite not being great, they still stand up to their own series to their fanbase

Conflict between the Earth Duelists vs the Seven Barian Emperors is reminiscent to that of the Seven Seals vs the Seven Angels. Casualty count is pretty high that sets the dark mood of both shows and to the extent that the friend of the protagonists becomes his ultimate rival whose role is the opposite of his to determine the fate of the entire world at stake. Both series have letter X in their titles.

Both are 2nd half of the previous installment and are well regarded in pacing, lore, development, and art. Nasch and Zero are identical with little sisters and rivalry with a white suit donned protag. Also Hope resembles to that of Lancelot.

Zexal II is when it becomes one to Madoka after being this much lighthearted only to get dark with the true notion that one does not get judged for the book by it's cover There are still light hearted moments and comedy but the majority of those are absent in Zexal II since Zexal II takes the story to a bigger stage left off by Zexal I.

- Aside from both of them being long running shonen titles, the episode count for ZEXAL is only 2 less than Hunter. - Both ran from 2011 to 2014. - The protagonist of both is an optimistic young boy who's goal is to not only find his father, but to be just as skilled a Hunter/Duelist(respectively) he's said to be. Not to mention both of their fathers are adventurers who explore and study ruins and plan for bigger things, not of this world. -The fathers of both characters may be absent, but they leave clues for their sons, one isn't very overt about it and comes off as  read more

Yu-gi-oh! Zexal Second's group of antagonists-"barians" are extremely similar to altarians. Nasch and Yuma's relationship is quite similiar to Jin and Yunoha's, as they both end up being seperated just because they're from different worlds. It also has quite a sci-fi theme, but instead of card games they fight using robots.

Dimensional travel / Time travel. Augmented reality and a time stream riding hover bike. Both kids monster anime that feature futuristic tech!

Both children's monster anime with similar themes. Evil Moo (monster rancher villain) reminds me of the Barians (Zexal villains) in style and presentation. Both English dubs have great openings and OSTs.

Classic children's "monster battler" series, both have mysterious evil forces/organisations of questionable origin. Both follow groups of young heroes on a righteous journey to help their friends and save the world!

These are both from classic kids monster battling anime franchises, both are later generations and also second iterations of their respective generations. Both have similar main characters with Yuma & Gingka, and both also have great English dubs and soundtracks.

These are both second iterations of similar classic monster battling style kids anime. Both have monsters sealed with inanimate objects (disks/cards). Both have sentient non-human characters. Both shows have very similar tones are likely targeted at the exact same demographic.

The characters looks very similar, both physically and mentally. Special and bizarre hairstyles of many characters. The plot is quite dark, and there are many foolish villains.
