Ryo Saeba is a "sweeper" know as the City Hunter. He and his sidekick Kaori Makimura are hired to solve problems that the police can't (or won't) handle. When he's not keeping the streets of Tokyo clean, Ryo is chasing the ladies, and Kaori chases after him with a giant anti-ecchi hammer.

The direction City Hunter's production took was a big one in this season, as they have changed the whole feel of the show. Mostly in the art but the music is not that 80's pop feel anymore. The anime's format is as always 1/2 episode stories about clients who have come to Ryo and Kaori for help. Even though this big change happened to the city hunter franchise you won't be disappointed (completely) and it all corrects itself in the fourth season so just endure it for 13 episode.

Nice season, more like the first one, with some nice charakter development. Season two just took the things more to the funny side and destroyed some of the charakter growth, so i really liked this one much more. Let's hope the best, for the next season. I think most of the people, who watch City Hunter nowadays, just see the funny side of it, but there are very delicate sides, to the anime as well. The charakters are always portrayed with such care and are not just one-dimensional. There are many strong and independent women, who are seem very realistic and inspiring. Also Ryo is read more

It feels sorta redundant at this point to keep talking about each season of City Hunter simply because it's more of the same thing .The show follows the exact same routine as before with zero differences except an odd animation change which was more or less fine

The first episode gave me hope as it was sorta different with finally a woman admiring Ryo as a bodyguard but also finding him a distrusting sex pest and that notion didn't change after saving her unlike countless other girls before her .Unfortunately it then proceeds to go right back to the old cringefest in the following episode

How they changed both kaori and ryo's outfits is just unforgivable. It was funny though when you can see that production definitely felt a punch from the different outfits when they slowly started to change his outfit back to his original. Anyways the 3rd season was mediocre. There wasn't as much music playing, the whole style of show attempted to change towards that stereotypical bimbo odd jobs route. Not enough Mokorri, looks like they ran out of those Mokorri drinks Ryo was drinking. Seriously though, the Mokorri is what made the show that much more funny, this season sort of portrays his more "serious" natured read more
