Interest StacksCollection of psychological anime that contain interesting themes and elements that make viewers think and inquire about the characters and the complexity of the plot. List of anime for "elitist". These anime have been considered as "deep" animations by various critics and analysts. Mystery is my favorite genre, so trust me when I say I know what I'm talking about... kinda... Melancholy, sadness, nostalgia, and sorrow, are mixed up with surreal colors and beautiful animation. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, this is basically a list of all my favorite anime. Anything I give a 9 automatically gets on this list, but only the entry from each franchise I liked the most. Feel free to try and watch every single anime on this list. Shows/Movies of all kinds that are either meant for or can be enjoyed by an older audience. A treasure trove of excellence covering a wide range. Story-driven thrillers, well researched historical shows, brilliant world-constructions, poetic narrations, gripping thrillers, dark comedies, complex future visions, tightly packed action, avant-garde art, solid entertainment, tear-jerking dramas to light-hearted slices of lives. Associated words: Dark (Visually and/or Thematically), Story-centric, Atmospheric, Abstract, Psychological, Unorthodox, Nihilistic, AND/OR Avant-garde Stories that are set in a dystopian society, which becomes undesirable to live in: there might be tyrannical governments (with heavy censorships and corruption), environmental disasters, overpower of technology or complete ban of it, and so on. Another follow-up to the magical realism list. This is some of my favorite anime that tell coming-of-age stories, but this time in settings that are totally fantastical in every way, far removed from our real world. Be it action spectacles or down-to-earth shows in fantasy settings, these are some of my favorites about growing up in a world totally full of wonderful fantasy. As always, I will be using the first season to be representative of the entire series. I've always loved a good ed in an anime, sometimes having a good ed alone can elevate the experience a lot. Personally I love an ed that's relaxing or upbeat, hopefully you guys will like these ed too, and who knows maybe you'll find some animes that you like too. :) A̷̜̖̞͉͛̚r̷̨̺̳̀͒͝e̶̢͛͐̈́͝ ̴̥́̃͐́y̷̥͕̎ō̸̤̠̝̝̈́͊̈u̵͔͌͑̕ ̵̡̎̏ṋ̷̟̖̺͘o̶̧͗̒t̶̳̹̐ ̸͚͇̄l̸̘̞͕̼̑́͛i̷̧̱͎͖̔̑̎ḳ̷̹͈̍ẻ̴̯̔ ̸̱̐́͌̄o̵̻͒͂ţ̶̍̋h̶̨͎͐̌ͅe̵͓̤̞͌́̎r̴̛͔̜͔̞͌̾̇ ̴̠͙͚͋̒̾̋g̸̢̧̾͜i̴͉͑̃r̸̢̙͗̈́̚l̵̲͕̠̿̉s̸̛̳͛̒ ̷̬̼̟̈́͆͗̈?̷̫̿̋̓ |
