New Interest Stack
Interest StacksMostly anime that try to follow Knox's rules of detective fiction, with few exceptions. Only includes anime I would recommend. Romantic Subtext is a genre in which romance plays an important part of the show, but is not necessarily the main focus. Anime with a loner protagonist. Well, at least at the start since introducing new characters is unavoidable. I'm only including the ones where the solitary mindset has been somewhat emphasised. Facing reality, rejecting the fantasy, and not running away from our issues. We all know that Kyoto Animation has been important to us, wider audience. But unfortunately, a tragedy struck in the studio and caused many casualties and unintentional deaths of innocent lives. Kyoto Animation is known for its animation quality and comfortable story writing. Some of their works were various; comedy, romance, drama, action, and slice of life. Now, this is my collection of KyoAni's best works that touched many hearts. If the other kind of Slice of Life is more drama heavy, of course there are light ones. The shows will make you feel comfortable, lighthearted, and giggle at the same time. These are the fun Slice of Life shows you might actually enjoy. If there's a rich-flavored cake, of course some people can enjoy or prefer plain vanilla ones. Anime where the main character is particularly intelligent compared to the other characters and their cleverness and strategy plays a large role in the plot of the story, especially if they put their plans into action off-screen. It's the Pre-2020 Anime what ever that's mean Anime with characters who consistently show actually autistic traits - stimming, obsession with very specific things and themes, social phobia, unwillingness to change routines, monotone or stereotyped speaking, strict habits, lack of interest in personal exchanges, difficulty building/maintaining relationships, unusual manners and gestures, selective but very strong empathy etc. There are good anime that stop after one or two seasons despite the source material still having a lot of good ground to cover, much to everyone's disappointment. So we wait, and wait and wait... for nothing. If you've gotten tired or bored with the common trope of the main character trying to get stronger to save something or somebody. If you just want to take a breather and take a break without worrying about the main character for a while - although I can't guarantee it for all of them - this list is for you (one entry per series - no sequels, etc.). These are only a few of all out there and I ran out of space, so if I missed one, I'm so sorry! What I look for the most in an anime above everything else is high-quality writing. That's not to say that manga, visual novel, and light novel adaptations are written poorly; in fact, there are some that have incredible, masterfully-crafted storylines. I have simply personally found that some of the most unforgettable series for me have been novel adaptations. If you are new to anime world then these are the best anime from every genre. Let's face it, we all have that one friend who has a prejudice against anime. |
