Both series feature characters from opposite sides of a conflict with opposing beliefs coming to terms with each other to survive. In the 08th MS Team, Federation pilot Shiro, a survivor of a Zeon gas attack, works together with Zeon test pilot Aina after they find themselves losing oxygen and without mobile suits after a space battle. In SEED C.E. 73: Stargazer, Natural pilot Sven, who was indoctrinated with anti-coordinator propaganda as a child, is saved by coordinator astronaut Selene McGriff after their mobile suits end up between Earth and Venus during the course of a battle.

Both involve a war of extermination and involve military and secret organizations alike. Also both shows have a point of view between Villain Protaganist and Hero Antagonist and are dark and gritty to the point where warfare is brutal and insane.

Sven and Clare lost their parents to their hated enemy to vow revenge only to end up having a small change to their perspective by a secondary character. CE 73 Stargazer is a short series but it has what has common with Claymore: Fighting for an organization to exterminate species only to realize how messed up they are.

CE 73 Stargazer takes elements from Berserk which were not present in other Gundam Shows making Stargazer distinguished due to violence, gore, suspense, and thrilled action.

Both feature a super soldier who starts off as emotionless and ruthless killer who does not question his authorities with a later character development. Also don't expect both to be happy since it builds up to such a dark, depressing, deconstructed, and tragic development.

Both are incredibly dark shorter Gundam series taking place during other shows in their respective timelines. Both are fun, easily rewatchable rides, with MS design ranging from solid, to great. Both have very memorable characters and moments, and serve to further flesh out the conflicts of each series

Both shows have similar vibe going on in a sci fi setting. They feature war between a natural race and a superficial race with philosophical themes. The super soldier concept is identical though.

Child Soldier and brutal warfare are portrayed in both shows in a dark and gritty format. Mikazuki and Sven are similar of some sorts. Note that the fights are more realistic as opposed to lasers and powers.

Both shows portray child soldier in a darker approach. I notice that stargazing element is in both shows as well.

Both shows have sci fi and military elements. The male leads in both shows are stoic and ruthless while the female leads are sincere, beautiful, and hardworking. The battalion squad in both shows have similar titles (Phantom Pain AKA 81st Independent Mobile Battalion and 101 Independent Magic-Equipped Battalion) featuring technological military equipment in black with advanced weaponry.

L-Elf is similar to Sven Cal Bayan as you watch both shows. In Valvrave, there are light hearted moments but at the same time it's filled with twists and dark moments that'll unravel and change the story forever.

both characters have tragic pasts, same personality, and fight to achieve goals through bloodshed. both shows have same conclusion, gritty theme, suspense, and dark tone.

The MCs of both shows are similar due to having a stoic personality. Both have great mecha action as well as drama. The main difference is that in Seed CE 73 Stargazer, there is intensity involved despite being a short series. Some mecha from Earth Alliance in Seed CE 73 Stargazer have elements similar to Gundam Wing as well as the main character organization.

Both OVA's are set in different similar but slightly similar due to Cosmic Era being the remake of Universal Century (UC). OVAs in my opinion are great due to being side stories as well as representing elements and traits not exploited in their parent stories. Both are dark, militaristic, and technological. The Earth forces point of view is slightly similar reflecting both good and bad. The male lead is yet again similar as an Earth soldier (Sven Cal Bayan and Kou Uraki) and the female lead is similar as well (Selene Mcgriff and Nina Purpleton) and the only main difference is that in 0083, the  read more

Both revolve around the conflict of interests between warfare and space exploration.

The point of view of the two main characters (Sven and Selene) is similar to Light and L (Villain Protagonist and Hero Antagonist). Both stories are dark, tragic, and intense.

The series is similar in somewhat way whereas both Sven and Dante are similar in terms of looks, style, and weaponry as well as the episodes taking similar style which is different from the main series. Both shows are side stories to the main storyline.

Both take place during the storyline of the main story in a different perspective view. The MC's are similar in terms of personality. There are mecha action, drama, intensity, and suspense involved and it's great.

Just like Gundam Wing, both the MCs are similar due to having a stoic personality, being in the band of gundams, and trained to become hardened soldiers. Both shows involve mecha action, drama, and intensity.

Stargazing is involved in both series as a theme as a science fiction despite being different type of series (Gundam Seed CE 73 Stargazer-Mecha and Darker than Black-Supernatural). Both shows are great and if you tried either one, try the other one as well!

Both films are set in the two bigger Gundam worlds (UC universe for F91 and CE for Stargazer) but regardless, they can both probably be enjoyed even without seeing their parent stories and connections, as they're fairly standalone (Stargazer does have some cameo appearances though). One thing they both really excel at compared to the main Gundam series, is the high amount of realism put into the action and some scenes. They're both a bit more upfront with the violence, depicting some gritty death scenes and whatnot. F91 opens up wiith an insanely detailed colony attack scene while Stargazer opens up with a city under  read more
