Deals with the slice-of-life of our deepest fantasies in episodic form. This may not be as warm as Natsume, but just as moving

Clannad is basically Natsume Yuujinchou, except that the main character helps people with their problems, instead of youkai.

Mukouda and Fel have a very similar dynamic to Natsume and Nyanko-sensei, who is also a glutton. Fel and Nyanko even look similar with the spirit/fantasy wolf appearance. They also travel alone for the most part and have many secrets that they can't share with 'normal people'. If you like supernatural themes, then watch Natsume; if you like cooking themes, then watch Campfire Cooking.

Although the genres are pretty different, both of these animes are really heartwarming pieces of slice of life. Each episode just makes you feel so calm and happy. Both Natsume and Akari go through every day helping others and learning more about themselves.

Not only do Natsume Yuujinchou and Hotarubi no Mori e have the same original creator and similar setting, they are animated by the same studio, with the same director and even the composer is the same. Without any doubt there is more than one that these two would both be liked by the same people. The girl, Hotaru, in Hotarubi no More e and the boy, Takashi (mostly referred to by his family name Natsume), both see demon and spirits and they both befriend them. Both the film and the series play with a melancholic feeling and the relationship between humans and spirits.

-Both anime's moods, animation, and flow of the story/plot are very lighthearted. -Both are slow-paced and centered around Slice of Life over Comedy. -Both have the calming quality.

I'd recommend the whole xxxHolic series. It's also about a boy who can see the supernatural and spirits bother him. Natsume Yujinchou is more focused on interaction with youkai though, while xxxHolic focuses on supernatural cause and effect. xxxHolic also has more action and is a bit darker.
