Natsume Yuujinchou Shi

Critics & Connoisseurs was a club that was founded in 2008 and ended club activities on the 31st of 2022.

The goal of the club was to come up with a list of highly recommended quality shows that are exemplary either within its genre or universally. An anime needed a 70% approval rate in our voting to get on the relation list. The following anime are all part of said list.

As well as characters who have troubles with speech, writing, or using words to express themselves properly.

Some anime listed may be included because the book / words themselves take on a life of their own.

Basically anything related to the subject will be included.

January is the first month of the Winter Anime Season, and in particular holds historical significance for being the month in which Astro Boy aired for the first time on Japanese Television on January 1st, 1963. The month is also notable for the anime debut of many long-running franchises including Detective Conan, Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu & Fate/Stay Night.

Anime to relax to, *mostly* featuring Iyashikei, CGDCT, Slice of life and minimal drama

"iyashi" (癒し) means healing, and the term "iyashikei" refers to anime and manga that "heal" the audience by instilling a calming feeling or evoking emotional carthasis. Almost always, Iyashikei stories have peaceful, somewhat mundane, and nostalgic atmospheres. The settings are idyllic with little or no conflict, and the narratives focus on personal reflection, heartwarming moments, a vague sense of melancholy, and/or an appreciation for the small things in life.

these are in alphabetical order, not by rating, as to show the watch order of longer series. the watch order was the most confusing part of compiling this list myself. i made this over a year ago back when i didn't know about interest stacks. i thought i'd share both this list and my thoughts now that i'm almost done watching all of these. i highly recommend using this as a binge list, it's banger after banger.

A diverse list of anime in genre and type (OVA, specials, TV-show etc.) that is outside of #250 popularity. These are some of the ones that I hope more people will watch. The notes will indicate:-

2. Whether it is part of a franchise, if so which season
3. Review (if I did one)
4. Summary impressions.
