Maze☆Bakunetsu Jikuu (TV)

Both shows have the same feeling, are fantasy animes, both are funny, but still have a serious plot. Both shows involve sword fights (Maze has less however), their settings are similiar, and even the artwork looks alike. The screenwriter for Slayers directed and wrote Maze... Must I go on?  

Both are 90's fantasy anime about an unlikely party of heroes travelling the land to ultimately save the world. 

In both anime, one character goes to different world. Both Maze and Hitomi don't know where they are. Both female Maze and Hitomi help others in their own way(maze with her strength and hitomi with her ability of tarot card reading). Male Maze and Van Fanel protect the females and fall in love with them. Both series have 'person in strange world','romance','fantasy' and 'mecha'. In both series male is more capable of using mechas. If you like one, you would love the other <3 <3
