| 4/5 Mads Mikaelsen finally takes centre stage with his unorthodox training session prompting Denji & Power to utilise their one brain cell resulting in some hilarious antics but the focal point of the episode was definitely Aki & his grievance and motivation going forward This episode was again, a beautiful masterclass in cinematography. The sound designs was and has been been magnificent throughout. Aki's grievance scene was perfectly executed with its haunting, screeching soundtrack. My favorite part of the whole episode was however, Denji's self-examination of his emotional well-being and people surrounding him. Little monologues like those from Denji are some of my favorite moments from the manga. Loved the parallel of Aki & Denji but now role reversed. Loved the apple themes this episodes too Our duo are paired up with a veteran of devil hunters to supposedly, groom their fighting skills and the training regime looks more or less, unorthodox. They do come up with ideas to get to him but obviously with no avail. Operation super-smart was smart but don't underestimate Chad Mads Aki is to make a riskier contract, which he accepts whole-heartedly. He is still in the avenger path and the list keeps growing but can't fault him. Him realising Himeno's true intentions came a little late to him but atleast he can still GO ON Penultimate episode next week. The ED was very unique and even too much foreshadowing but I dig it. This was a fine, slow, character growth episode... we won't get those in the future so I guess, we'd have to cherish what we have now!!! |

| Tatsuya Yoshihara, the fucking legend. what an awesome episode, it has been a while since an episode didn't feel like 24 minutes for me. It was over so quick goddamn it. That ED was the best so far imo, really great vibes from it and the scenes kind of being a recap of what happened so far, setting the stage for the final fight perhaps. Probably the second/third best episodes |

| With not much time left. And things getting to a close now. Hayakawa is going to go make another sacrifice. Power and Denji going to get the training they need. Yeah. I guess meeting the Gun Devil is not too far away. Anyways. I hope they get the edge they need especially for Hayakawa. The guy has the boy 2 years left to live. It sucks to see that. But no choice. |
| Slow af episode. It seems to try to be atmospheric, but it just ends up being much more boring than the manga. Music during """action""" scenes sucked. Also don't like the mentor + training arc stuff, it was one of my least favorite parts in the manga and it sucks even more here. It's not like it matters at all for the rest of the show. |

| RIP to all the members who died in the fatal war. Aki lost the closest member to him, which is incredibly sad to see. Himeno was a real soldier until the end, trying to save Aki. Looks like Denji & Power will now be trained by Kishibe because Makima is having her own things to deal with. Kishibe isn't playing around, man literally is killing them and bringing them back to life, can't even express it in words. Well either way, nice ep. |

| Is it just me, or was that the best looking episode? I felt like the animation and characters were especially consistent and fluid, and the lighting/compositing was all very solid. 10/10 |
| amazing episode. beside animation, top notch as always, but the thing to point out is how direction and sound design is improving so much with each new episode instead of going stale or worsen like most other shows, kishibe fights were the cleaneast and clearest of the series so far, while the sound really pushing the more atmospheric scenes to limits of possibility. Hope it keeps up with this trend, if so (while makimg me more hopeful for S2 to fix some roughness in this S1 adaptation) this could be my AOTY winner for sure by the end |

| Kishibe is properly introduced in the present timeline and he doesn't fuck around, his training of Power and Denji is serious shit. Poor Aki, man, it was a heavy episode for him. Looking forward to his meeting with the Future Devil next episode. |

| Man this show is directed to well. They excel at the quiet moments. This was a really great episode. Rip Fox devil doesn't want to work with Aki anymore lol. Maybe he just needs to visit it and say sorry? Well the future devil sounds pretty op so that should be handy. Somehow I don't think half of a 2 year lifespan is gonna be enough to make a contract but I guess we'll see. Also F in the chat for Denji and Power getting slapped around by badass jiji. |
| Kishibe is a great master-type character, he really reflects the apathy of Denji and Power very well lol I thought they had a pretty good plan with the bottles of blood but it still wasn't good enough The ending visuals were really cool this week, I like the combination of real footage with animation Sad that there's only two episodes left! |
