 A scan from Kadokawa's Newtype magazine is announcing in its February issue that Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko will receive a short TV anime adaptation. Titled Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko: Everything Flows, the series is set to premiere on March 4, during the Ultra Super Anime Time slot on Tokyo MX. The magazine also revealed the cast and staff members.Cast She: Kana Hanazawa (Durarara!!) Kuroneko: Shintaro Asanuma (Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei) Friend: Sayuri Yahagi (To LOVE-Ru) Staff Director: Kazuya Sakamoto (Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu) Script: Naruki Nagakawa (Ergo Proxy) Character Design, General Illustration Director: Senbon Umishima Art Director: Takanori Tanaka Sound Director: Youta Tsuruoka Studio: LIDENFILMS Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko was originally created in 1999, with a final version released in 2002. | Very surprising news. Who knew Shinkai's short from years ago would get a TV short? Looking forward to it, and I hope they use the same tone/atmosphere as the original did. It was only 5 minutes but it was quite emotional. |

| That doesn't make much sense. The original was good because how it was done. Changing the length, animation or adding characters won't improve it, it will make it something completely different. I think it would be more accurate that they are making something just inspired by the original OVA. Shinkai and Tenmon are not even working on it damn it. As much as I like Hanazawa in some of her roles, her voice really doesn't suit something like that. Feels like someone wants to ride on Shinkai's name and I'm surprised he agreed to that. |
