Long time lurker on MAL, but finally made an account to review a seriously bad anime. Always happy to accept friend requests from similar-minded people, excited to meet kindred spirits!

10: Either a high school favourite or a masterpiece.
9: Excellent, top tier anime, just not a masterpiece.
8: Enjoyed, but some flaws, could've been better.
7: Enjoyed, but major flaws. Likely won't rewatch.
6: Critical flaws, "enjoyable but forgettable" anime.
5: Really didn't like it.
4: No. Suffered or skipped through.
3: Very bad, cringe-worthy, likely skipped through with hatred.
2: Abomination save for 1 point of potential.
1: Wouldn't rewatch even if you paid me... well, maybe for USD$2000 and up.
Recommendations from ratings
Generally recommend anything in the 8 - 10 category. 7s are okay, and anything 6 and below isn't recommended. Character depth matters a lot to me, and art style is a close second (as an artist myself).

I wonder how you have found me.
Another MAL-Account befriended me a few weeks ago. He has tens of thousands of friends. Maybe he looks continuously for the latest logged in accounts.
One of the series which you have dropped after a few episodes I thought: "Oh that was one of the sweetest series I looked in recent time."
I can't understand why majority of viewers fall for gore in anime and why it's so hard to find descriptions of anime where the mood, character growth and bonding are at heart.
Is there a more directly approach to find viewers with a similar taste? In the MAL-forum were links where graphs are generated from the MAL-API.
