Grimm Kumikyoku is a collection of some classic famous fairy tails, being retold with some alternative understanding of the characters and world set, giving them some new grim makeup, and sometimes adding a dark twist in the end, giving us some interesting new ways to read those classic old stories.
Each episode is independent of each other, mainly focused on the structural reimagination of the stories being told, following a simple formula that kinda reminded me of the Junji Ito collections, but less grim and dark, and with much more effort put into the drawing quality. The writing was also very good, it had
...
some weird moments with some stories, but overall, the way they reimagined the settings and character was fairly well done, with some ending up deeper and more complex than what i would imagine the original ones being
The only problem its being so short, only 6 episodes, tho they all last for around 40 minutes each, it left wanting more. I hope they continue with more seasons, reimagining more of those classic stories in this same way.

Little girl flees from her village, after being outcasted for not having special powers, starting then a journey in the wilderness, while accompanied by a tiny slime she found and tamed in the way. Now we follow their adventures, fighting monster and exploring the world while trying to not get discovered and caught by her pursuers.
Its a cute little show, with an simple premise, and an interesting mystery about her hidden powers, while also being kinda entertaining to watch how she deals with the whole surviving and fleeing thing. Tho its kinda annoying how it skips over her survival training, just excusing her well versed
...
knowledge of survival skills on "oh, she trained in the past".
Also, its very annoying how she can't see to stop talking, at every scene, at every time, she's talking constantly. It feels like someone in production disliked the concept of silence and immersion, of showing things without someone talking over, or thought it would make the anime boring if there wasn't someone talking every time... In a slow paced show...
Tho, in the end it's still a nice cozy anime to waste some time with. The only flaw until now being the mentioned above, hindering it down to passable or skipable, depending on the person watching.

Over complicated, unfocused and incoherent
Princess dies after a revolution and gets reborn into the modern world, where she decides to becomes a surgeon, until she dies again and returns back to her world, before the events leading to her death... Why such over complicated premise for such a simple topic as "the princess is an isekaied surgeon"?
Then she proceeds to apply her modern knowledge of medicine into a medieval world... where somehow not only no one questions where did she randomly get such level of what should be considered otherworldly knowledge about medicine, but also every medic in this medieval setting have at least the
...
same level of knowledge about illness as modern ones...
After that she uses modern medical equipment in a medieval world setting... That's it, this is at the same level as that other medical isekai, where the MC uses cheat codes to spawn medical substances from thin air, and diagnose illness in people just by looking at them with his blessed eyes...
That while somehow its implied there will be some kind of nobble/royal family threat/conflict because of her actions, and a lot of other things completely unrelated to the topics of the anime...

Basically redo of healer, but without the porn
Main protagonist becomes mad after his adoptive mother was killed by the empire on their witch hunt, and decides to go into a extermination murdering spree to eliminate all humanity from earth, alongside anything and anyone in the way. Very superficial and dumb, mostly relying on explicit gore and over the top irrational hatred reactions to convey "emotions" and "feelings", while extremely relying on flashbacks and out of place scenes to tell the story, becoming very out of pace with what is happening. Also there's no slow down, no time to talk, constant action, fights, gore and shouting,
...
its as superficial and dumb as you can get.

This was such a wasted potential
This show had a very interesting premise, with some deep complex emotional and psychological topics, a nice story progression, a very interesting plot twist, with some relatively deep character development, just to throw it all away near the end, rushing into the finish line and disturbing their own established lore and logic.
The characters are basically a family of strong players in a game, they help each other and act like a real family, but under the curtains they are people with miserable lives, using the game as an subterfuge to escape from reality, the main twist making it all
...
even more interesting to watch. If it wasn't good enough, the game it self also doesn't exactly turns out not to be as simple as it looked, with the family now being forced to fight not only to maintain their union, but also to potentially save the entire virtual world.
Their motivations are kinda simple, but complex and well established, each one of the family members are trying to replace some aspect of their miserable lives with the in game family and features, unaware of whom each other are in real life, while trying to find some meaning for their lives. But then we get to the ending part.
This feels like it should've lasted 24 episodes at least, or delayed the main conflict to a possible second season, giving more time to deepen the character's relations and insert more conflicts and twists, to better building up the final plot. Instead they just dropped it all out of sudden, and rushed into the end, to make into a one season thing, leaving a lot to be desired. Specially the threat to Virtual World thingy felt under developed, with several events near the end feeling out of place.
It had a lot going for it, and they just fumbled. The worse part is that even if they made a possible sequel, it wont make any sense, they will be forced into a fresh start or something. They just wrote themselves into a dead end.
This show made me love and hate it at the same time, from how wasted it was

Supposedly this is an horror and supernatural thing, with a little bit of mystery, but out of nowhere, it shoves some out of place comedy into your face, followed by some shallow teenager drama thing, and only after that they decide to reintroduce us into what was supposed to be the main focus, the supernatural horror thing, just to shortly after disfigure it into a action based fighting or chase/escape scene, that while everything was being rushed, because for some reason we gotta go back to the teenager drama thing.
The comedy mix with horror wouldn't even be a problem, there are lots of shows that
...
mix both genres well, but not this one. Not only the comedy doesn't feels weak, but the drama plot doesn't even fit, being just some out of place thing, that forces everyone into out of character positions, making everyone look goofier than they already were, just to move a random plot that doesn't lead anywhere, with some hand shoved weak mystery plot in the middle, that poorly ties it all with the main story.
The protagonists are KINDA well made, they have a past together, some supernatural thing happened, they are working together to solve it and live in peace. But then the poorly made story introduces it self in the middle, summed with the forced comedy and drama, making them fall as schizophrenics, that can't maintain a solid persona not even for 10 minutes, before derailing into lunatics, that not even considering that the kid actually acts like the supernatural shonen equivalent of a infant John Wick, pulling out random weapons twice her size to defeat spirits, and making a demonic ritual to gain control over them.
In summary, i would say this was a mid, somewhat interesting, horror mystery show, that was kinda ruined by the hand shoved, half baked, out of place content. If you skip every scene not related to horror, you have a better show than watching it all as one thing. Also, it would've been half the amount of episodes.
If you want to watch something in the same style, but done better, watch Mieruko-chan, some nice comedy with horror show. If you want something with more of a serious tone, watch Summertime Render, or Kyokou Suiri.

Food sculptor, aka pâtissier, dies crushed by his own creation and reincarnates into a magical world, where he will realize his pastry dream by becoming a super magical being... wait what? No, no, he will realize his pastry dream by becoming the village's general... and defending it from a bandit invasion?
I though this was going to be a show about pastry, food, and maybe some magic, but if they cant stick to their own themes not even for the first 3 episodes, i guess they wont hold up any quality content through the rest. Not only that but the completely unrelated parts to the theme
...
aren't even well made, just generic superficial rushed stuff, and poorly written.

Vinland Saga Stories would probably be a best name for this second season, specifically because it doesn't have much of anything previously established, and mostly build up on top of new stories and events to the point that the original characters look only as special contributor than the main focus of the show, they are they but they don't feel like leading the ship, but only taking a ride along.
Personally i dont mid slow paced stories, if they are written well i will like them, but something in this second season makes it feel inherently bad as a slow paced show, the fact that it's
...
tied to an very action based aggressive background creates somewhat of a contradiction to what was shown, with greater weights on their backs, they would've needed to follow a specific path, and unfortunately several things in this season felt for me out of character, out of place, poorly explored and even distracting or time wasting. Maybe it was because of the way the first season was presented, it simply made the second season impossible to be properly adapted in a way it would've given the same feelings and emotions of spectacle as in the first one. People who liked the first one for the action and impact, gore and violence will mostly hate the sequel for this boring slow feeling that it has now.
The first great question i had from the middle to the end of this season was: What was this all about? In the first season you would have easily answered: greed, power, revenge, the price of your actions, how far would you go and what were you willing to do for what you want or believe. But what about this second season? What was this all about? slavery? love? hatred? penance? forgiveness? And even if you could say it had a bit of it all, was it even tied well to everything that was happening? Did it really made things lead up one to the other?
This story isn't about Thorfin or Canute, even if the show tries to portray them as the main protagonists, this story is about Einar, Arnheid, Ketil and all the other supporting characters. You could even at any time remove Thorfin and Canute from the equation and it would've ended with a similar plot, with similar events, and for me at least, this is a significant flaw in the story for a Vinland Saga Season 2. When the two greatest ties to everything that was previously established could so easily be removed and forgotten without changing anything on how things would happen, you have a significant problem on your story's structure
They don't even feel the same, Thorfin doesn't feel like Thorfin, nothing on his struggle makes sense to how he was previously established, i can understand him having internal conflicts because of his meaning of life being stolen from his hands and now none of his misdeeds being justified, but i don't get it how he got from that into vegetative state, and how he somehow got enlighten with his dad's words of peace at the very last most convenient moment, even less how Einar of all things was the Trigger for all that supposed returnal and progression, it alt felt unearned and forced
Canute felt worse, he did already had a very promising possible conflict, with the pre-established bases, ready to be built, would've he followed on the teachings of his adopted father and his concepts about religion, or continue the ruthless lineage of his biological family, and it all was thrown away and replaced with a generic "i will bring chaos because god is unfair", and "the power of the crown corrupts". It was made even worse because not even a single time where the crown thing was used made a single sense, he didn't had any clear reason to engrave this message so hard on his mind, from someone who never gave him any reason to do so, and somehow these generic worlds of power corrupting where what haunted him the most?
I don't even think they've chosen the right subjects to tie the events of the story well. Why is Snake, Ketil, Sverkel and friends all so underdeveloped and under explored? When they all are the ones mostly tied to the main events of the story, when they all had so much potential with their backstories and past events, it all just to be wasted and replaced by the Arnheid and Gardar's cursed lovers story, something that was simply stretched too long, to the point i could even made the assumption that their story was actually supposed to be the main story to be told, and everything else was just forced to fit along, rolled around to be named as a Vinland Saga
I don have any other problems with anything else shown in this season other than it doesn't fit what was pre-established about Vinland Saga, i would've had even less problems if it wasn't tied or made as an direct sequel to Vinland Saga. The wait it ended up, this was a disappointment for me, a very mid "sequel" to a highly praised show

Space mercenaries go brrr on aliens, but its bad. At least you have discounted Miku, aka Hatsune Mimi to comfort you from time to time.
The art and the animation are OK, its that usual 2D with 3D mixed together that several studios already tried to do, and the problem is the movement that always lacks impact or motion, and some actions feeling too fast or too slow.
The major problem is with the direction, too many static frames with people talking, and even when there's action, it feels weak and flat, just the usual "and then", "but actually", things you can clearly see weren't pre-planned, but
...
made on the go, making it feel lazy and cheap, that and the overly abused change of frames to mimic motion.
The world building is at least somewhat interesting, and you can catch a glimpse of the world, what's happening, and other things from time to time, but its not that well explored.
The characters are shallow and uninteresting, being basically moving stereotypes that don't change nor improve in any aspect, even after going through "Life changing experiences", they still fall flat, that when they aren't just being annoying without any reason
The soundtrack stands out from how disconnected it is from the rest of the show, it doesn't fit the battles, it doesn't fit the calm scenes, it doesn't even sound well in the OP and the ED, its just a very generic and superficial collection of remixes.
The best part is Mimi, she feels so out of place but in a somewhat good and funny way, if the show was simply directed around her, and her interactions with the group, it could have ended being a lot better than it was.
Completely skippable, i would recommend watching 86 instead, a substantially better work than this, with basically the same themes

I didn't expected much from watch the description said about this show, it clearly doing more of a desservice than helping understand what it was all about, but after finally giving up to the high scores and watching the first episodes, i got surprised by a good solid show.
Its basically a comedy in the same style as Komi San and Kaguya Sama, but feeling a little bit weaker in the tone, jokes and production, they seem to have something with eyes that kinda gave me a weird uncanny feeling, but this maybe just a personal cherry picking.
The premise is undeniably weird and will work as
...
a barrier to anyone who doesn't likes the themes involved, but for anyone who manages to pass by them, they will be meet with a show that has a lot more thought put into it than just being a simple superficial fan service like several other shows in the same style have been
The character build up is solid, their motivations can look a bit weird, but they don't feel unrealistic. It kinda has somewhat of a slow rhythm, bot nothing that would make me bored, there's almost always something happening, being some exposition, story progression or just some funny joke thrown around.
Its certainly a interesting surprise for this season
